what? positive reinforcement in dotaish game threads? what is this I love playing with Caller because he seemingly doesn't give a ship and then 1v5's their team and then we all laugh on vent. I loved playing with GoKodo's soraka because he prioitized giving me mana over himself and I spammed spirit fire every time it was up just to deny their last hitting I love playing with ForestJ's Anivia because he makes it look easy and I'm a failure at Anivia. Thanks for mentioning me, lol. I picked Soraka because I had such a horrible string of games where I failed so I figured I can't really mess Soraka up too much. We were holding on to that game pretty well until we didn't blue pill that one time and lost 2 inhibs for 1 tower T_T

So I just got two friends into the game this weekend and I must say I have never felt bad for playing this game prior to that.
We had them create the games so we would play against lower ranked players while they learned the game and the first game we played I took Heim mid (who is my main, almost fully min/maxxed [just missing one rune]) so they would have an easier game not having to worry about a mid ganking them while my brother took his Ez in another lane with the random fifth.
I finished 23-0-6 literally without doing anything as the other team repeatedly suicided against my turrets. So I decided to take a jungling WW in the next game (my first time ever as WW) since I wanted to learn him and my noob friends were feeding really badly, as most do on their first time ever playing (they never even played DOTA). I figured I would be able to gank their lane if they fed too badly while my brother took mid with Ez again.
Between my ganks and my brother's mid the game finished in about 19 minutes. I felt bad for the other team...

It's okay I farmed like hell and their Garen didn't, sucker. + I got their tower. I even got a random kill on Trist near bottom because I felt guilty and wandered across the map out of sheer boredom.

Those games are really funny sometimes <_< For some reason I usually fail in them though(played with 2 newbies, went 0-7 with Ezreal against terrible player. Sure it became 9-7 after I got my 4th doran blade but how do I manage that during laning >_>), unless I pick something really tryhard like Singed, with whom I had a nice 19-0-15 game with quad RoA <_>

my powerful doran's ring opening on Panth on my smurf led to a 23-2-10 game even when I was drunk, so I guess Pantheon's actually fine, you just gotta open Doran's Ring.

I've been looking forward to the games, I still got about 6-7k IP worth of runes to farm up for the characters I play not named Heimerdinger or Kennen, and my double IP boosts are really kicking in while teaching them...does that make me a bad person? Exploiting low level players on my level 30 account for double IP?
Edit: I also learned that Panth is still a noob stomper

No, I feel that way when I play normal mode with Garen

I'm fairly sure aside from my random drift toward mid and then subsequently to bottom to snipe Trist, Garen and I were 1v1ing at top for a good 25 minutes.

the only character I really don't get bored of farming with is Kayle. I can farm for 25 minutes straight with her, cuz if that happens, I'm sitting on triple elixir, tooth, GRB, zerker's and doran's ring while they're still working on item #2. Then I can just grab red buff and go to town on their whole team.

I could never do that, I'd probably just go gank mid and bot and lose my lane's tower while taking mids and so on. Or alternatively I might stay there until I get my first big item and then just go own the lane opponent and then everyone else. Depends.

Gotta love doing that. Also laning with a Taric while you do that is hilarious since both your heals + his clarity makes it so neither of you ever need to go back heal and your Q+E combined with his stun makes for some excellent harassment if the other team gets ballsy.

Mid was Trist, and our Ezreal was going all over the place so so was their Trist, + it's a pain ganking Trist at mid tower because you get 2 seconds to kill her before she jumps into the tower.
90% of combat took place at dragon or bot tower, though, both of which are just really too far for me to get to. The only thing I was afraid of was Garen going over to cause a 5v4, which is why I roamed that one time (he went missing and there was a big fight at dragon so I drifted over... only to my horror to find him popping out at top and almost killing the tower). Otherwise I was outfarming him and Kass > all so I was content to farm, however stupid and boring and teammate-reliant that may be.

I played a game yesterday where I had to babysit a suicidal Panth as Kayle for the first 5 minutes, and when he finally left, our Heimer decided it was a good idea to push on my lane because he couldn't get past the second tower at mid. Then after that teamfights already started and our team isn't good enough to win or even break even at 4v5s so I cry and drag my arse there while being underfarmed. I swear I should just make my friend play a carry or learn to jungle as Rammus and ignore the rest of the team, that shit was painful.
That reads I can't wait to get to 30 and play ranked, and hopefully get past the drudge of low ELO fast. Hopefully ><

I pretty much require 1v2 lanes with Kayle and Heimer. I dunno, I'm really bad at sharing farm and I'm bad at playing attrition at mid (1 too many directions to get ganked from). I think the only character I've been playing recently that I can stand to duo lane as is Taric :p.

Kayle is the strongest carry in the game...

Our Yi wouldn't try to jungle till like level 6 and I couldn't get Panth to go away till then. How I wish I could've had a 1v2 lane as to actually practice Kayle a little (450 carry? a bargain, except Garen was free this week and I wanted to try him more).

Speaking of panth, I had a game with him where I had to go afk for about 2 minutes towards the end of an already won game. I came back in the middle of a teamfight and ulti'd in to get there in time to help my team. I might've kinda accidentally gotten a penta kill when I landed...

Hopefully >< when duo queueing in lower elo than you should be, the most effective way to climb IMO is for 1 to play a jungler and the other to take 1v2. Jungle Rammus + Kayle served Turkey and I very well in climbing out the dregs of low elo hell.

Solo mid Annie and 2v2 or 1vX Kassadin served EzPz and I well. But then again both of us are pretty dominating on those two respective heroes :o I don't know if double nuke carry is usually a good idea, lol.

Surprisingly I don't really mind 2v2 lanes since I haven't yet met a problematic lasthitter and tend to get all the farm anyway. If the lane combination is good it normally turns out quite fine.
That being said though, what item and skillbuild should I go for as Olaf? I've had gigantic problems with his skillbuild, his E needs to be maxed early for max efficiency but so does his Q, his W speeds everything up as well. There's just so many choices.
About his item build, I was thinking about something like 1-2 Warmogs, Atmas, Mallet and Starks and then some survivability, but I haven't been able to figure out a good item build either. I think Olaf should get at least one cooldown reduction item, but I really don't know which.
