EPTI cant play the game anymore because it keeps crashing, its not about reinstalling the game, because the EU version wont work either.

That linked Nasus guide is very good. I wish non-Nasus players would read it, it's annoying to get stuck with a bad teammate who has no idea how I roll in the lane. also could someone point me to a good guide for jungle Yi? | ||

I dunno if there're any guides for Jungle Yi but the start of the game is spent praying Alpha Strike procs (if you take Smite you've got a bit more leeway for bad Alpha Strike streaks). IIRC people tend to open Vamp for the lifesteal, and then they go something like Vamp -> Ghostblade, or Vamp -> Madred -> Ghostblade -> Lantern/Bloodrazor, or something like that. I've also seen some people just go Vamp -> Ghostblade -> Thirster, etc. AFAIK there's no set build order, as no one really knows if he has a fully optimal item set. It's just recommended you get GB because that item was like made for Yi, and with Ghost gives him essentially 3 Ghosts. If played well you should be racking up kills and disrupting enemy jungles because Alpha is retarded like that, and with Liz buff you've essentially got a teleport + chase + snare. If played bad or you're stuck in a game with bad laners you've got a harder time than other dedicated ganker junglers (like WW/Udyr) turning stuff around because you're not as good at soaking up damage and mitigating errors that way. | ||

Overall though I feel yi should be in a solo lane since id rather not rely on ganks to get my farm rolling nor waste money on items to help me jungle when I'm looking to get ghostblade/ie and 3 shot ashes. | ||

Laning can be pretty risky too, if you can get a good lane matchup it works out but if you run into a bad matchup you can be jacked out of the game... I think the consistency of jungle farm and abusing Alpha + Liz is why a lot of people jungle Yi. | ||

@Shikyo 3 Doran's blades? Is that a joke or a master strat? If you were serious, do you get anything to replace the hp loss when you sell one to make room? Like I was saying it's not early on where I run into problems but later when just an errant ability or hurtful glance will put TF in the respawn bin. Not trying to put down on the advice, just trying to clarify, it seems like getting 3 blades plus boots delays your BF past it's prime usefulness stage. @Cow I figured you were probably being sarcastic, but someone did post a revive strat with the mastery for extra hp. If that was you then I do remember about it, but I haven't tried it yet. I don't know if the immediate advantage is worth not having a different summoner spell. Something to note is I solo-queue a lot so it's harder to rely on positioning or a good tank over survivability, especially at my level. I'll prolly keep building it till it doesn't work anymore, I was just looking for some input. | ||

If I'm having trouble and need some survivability I like getting about 3 Dorans blades. Gives you a buttload of HP, enough lifesteal for lanestaying and some extra damage. When you're at the point where you need to sell them for extra items, you'll already have quite a bit of hp from just leveling up. | ||

The standard AP Yi goal in a teamfight is to blatantly KS someone with Alpha Strike while Highlander is activated, and then instantly Alpha Striking again. If you get lucky and KS again, you can Alpha strike for a third time, although that's more of a best-case scenario. After your KS and the following Alpha Strike, just highlander and autoattack it up and if you're running low, Meditate and if they have no disables ready, you'll be the best tank in the game for 8 seconds. AP Yi's teamfight presence relies almost completely on KSing with the first AS. Yeah I don't doubt the people I play with are awful. I've managed to do pretty well just alpha striking while hugging the turret. I should put a disclaimer on all my posts "no ranked experience yet" By the way, have you ever encountered a lane of 2 ranged(not even necessary always) champions who right at the start, right after caster minions have acquired their targets, just run to you? They don't even need to attack, at this point you're forced to run away or die after they start attacking when they get in position. Then they'll just lasthit while you can't get close. I don't think Yi has an answer. | ||

If you get focused and killed in a team fight, just revive and ult back in. Same idea as revive on pantheon. | ||
