Siphon Strike - Physical (His tooltip is broken to say its magical right now. Riot posted this on the forum) Wither - No damage but it's the best slow in the game. -35% movement and attack speed and an additional 15% every second for 5 seconds. Spirit Fire - Magic. Although it makes you do more physical damage by reducing armor by 40. Fury of the Sands - Magical AoE damge. All damage they take from your AoE is converted into BONUS physical damage (250 max from the bonus). With this, Nasus can do insane damage. You'll probably have Trinity Force, but at least a sheen (you should). So here's the right way to team fight with Nasus: -Wait for someone to initiate, -cast spirit fire in the middle for -40 armor debuff, -do whatever you need to do to get into the middle of that fight. Cast your ghost/cleanse if you have to. -Cast wither on their carry or whoever is going to damage your team the most. (Wither will make someone like Twitch a non factor for basically the whole fight.) -Hit someone with the sheen proc -Pop your ultimate and hit another sheen proc -Use siphon strike and hit with that plus sheen proc It's very important to time your sheen procs for maximum damage without overlapping siphon strike until you need too because of it's four second cooldown. You see? You can do crazy damage with Nasus without building virtually any DPS item. At level 18 you'll have your basic attack(185) + potentially maxed ultimate(250) + siphon strike(200) + sheen(387) = 1022 damage... minus whatever their armor is giving them after your debuffs. I admit 200 siphon strike is a bit generous, but by level 18 you should for sure be around 120 or so. Nasus is all about burst damage and it's not unusual to hit an Ashe and take half her HP away in the late game. He's a support/off tank, not a champ you're going to solo mid and carry the team with. ![[image loading]](http://a.imageshack.us/img713/3641/nasus.jpg) So the Syphon Strike tooltip is a lie, and his ult gives bonus physical as well. Cool, I'll definitely be swapping out the MPen for APen before I start ranked. I've been playing tank Nasus in all my games so far, building something like this: 0/17/13 - (meditation and utility mastery are far too good to ignore IMO) MPen / Dodge / CDRplvl / Flat HP Cleanse / Ghost QWQEQR // R>Q>E>W Mana Crystal + 2 HP Sheen Merc Treads Banshee's and/or Thornmail GA -whatever-
Skill order seems kind of strange. I hold off on my first point in case there's an early bush fight at level 1. If so, I get spirit fire; if not, siphoning strike. Level 2 is kind of irrelevant because you're almost never going to cast rank 1 wither or spirit fire, but I take wither (assuming level 1 SS of course) because it's definitely going to be more useful if you need to kill an overly aggressive player or just get away. Then get to spirit fire 3 by level 5 so you can actually clear minions with it. R > E > W > Q afterwards. High level wither and spirit fire seem much more useful than 80 more damage on a hit for midgame team fights, and SS gets the same +2 bonus at all ranks. Higher ranks lower the cool down and make last hitting easier, but I don't think that's worthwhile enough.
I'm just a level 22 noob though.

The one I've seen do most consistent is an end-game goal of Frozen Mallet and Black Cleaver and playing him as a stunning tank.

I leave Spirit Fire low early precisely because I don't want to be pushing the lane. I have put more points into it when I was laning against Heimer though. It'd be worthwhile against any sort of aggressive lane when you're soloing - just hug the turret and fire farm.
also 1 point of Wither is huge - good enough that I level all my other skills before it.

He was so fun to play but now I can hardly do anything with him but tickle someone and hope the die from laughing too hard... I did some googling online to try and find if anyone had been experimenting with builds post-nerf on panth. The only mildly successful one I found and tried: http://leaguecraft.com/strategies/guide/6669-pantheon-the-farmer-of-war.xhtmlSummary of guide: (I'd really just take a look at the guide it isn't completed yet so it is really short, more of an outline. Core Items = Wriggles + Tiamat to clear creep waves and farm for bigger items later. (Madred's 500dmg proc + splash) Strategy = Support DPS / Stunner Problems = Same problem with Panth in general, the need for W and balancing between Q and E. Possible solution = Go Q W early game/Lanning phase. At level 8-9 start getting E instead of Q. Sadly, Pantheon's opening QWE level 3 combo really doesn't work anymore. He really has to wait for the tank to come along before engaging because his combo is really weak now. EDIT: Forgot to point out this solution costs about 4k+ worth of items. ^ garbage build.
it's quite literally impossible to drop over 4K on terrible items (tiamat AND wriggle's) and expect to be anything other than terrible.
I mean, I still win with Panth a lot when I play him, but I play him as a mediocre jungler with strong ganks.
I posted a brief summary of the strat on LoL forums, so I'll just paste it here:
1/16/13, ArPen/Armor/Mp5pL/ArPen, Smite/Ghost
QE(W or Q)(W or Q)(W or Q)R Q = W > R > E
Open cloth + 5 HP pots, start at gol. Kill little dudes first so that your passive absorbs as much as possible. Smite as soon as you aggro gol so that it comes off CD quickly enough. Chug pots the whole way. Gol -> Wolves -> Liz if you see potential for a gank, picking up your stun at level 3 when you kill liz. Double buff level 3 Panth gank is savage. If there's no gank possible, just go Gol -> Wolves -> Wraiths -> Stone Gols, back and get boots and hp pot(s) and a ward if they have a faster dragoner. Idea with the item build is:
cloth boots HoG (if you get a successful gank, you can skip boots to get this ASAP) brutalizer merc treads *after here, pump red elixir as necessary* GA and Bloodthirster/IE (order depends on the game, BT vs. IE is preference) Omen and Ghostblade (order depends on the game) *last slot open for elixir pumping usually*
When you're playing, you're really just trying to be a ganker. You're a little slow on the jungle, especially when blue buff wears off because of his fucking terrible mana now, but with blue, you can make due with spear shots because they add a lot to your dps. You level Q if your lanes are holding and pushing and ganks are hard to come by because it makes you jungle quicker, otherwise prioritize W for stronger ganks. Heartseeker is worthless aside from the passive with this build.
He's got 2 really big things going for him as a jungler: 1) strong ganks 2) strong map presence at level 6
Other than that, he's a mediocre jungler, so you really gotta leverage those into a win. I should've won with this last night in my 2nd to last game, but Windows decided to reboot without warning me around 30:00 and then our Ez dced for 10 minutes shortly afterwards. He came back, but was an item behind their carries and they had gotten baron, so fml, we still lost. Fucking terrible way to lose a game since we were dominating them early.

It's fine to push the lane as Nasus at level 5 because he pushes really REALLY hard, and if the enemy team tries to zone you out (which is not really possible), the creeps end up hitting their tower because they're not attacking the creepwaves.
Also lets you leave to kill jungle creeps/golem once in a while.

what elo rating would be considered high elo, what mid and what low? 2k+ high 1.5k+ mid and less low elo?
i am lvl 29 now and my unranked elo is 1575 and rising (i lost 2 of my last 12 matches. part variance part ownage so i suspect i am not at my top). Since the player pool in ranked games is smaller (more players inflate the rating) and there are only lvl 30 players (the pool of players is better) i guess that 1575 rating in unranked would not translate in a 1575 rating in ranked. does anyone know how unranked elo relate to ranked elo?
|
Nasus should just be on the 1v2, always, and should be camping his tower and spirit firing waves as they get to his tower vs. difficult lanes. against easy lanes, w/e, doesn't really matter.

Hm, ok, I'll try going QWEEE to start with and see if it improves my laning. I'll swap out a health pot for a mana pot too.

So who on TL made the top 1500 cut, and who's going to try out for the WCG?

I queue with huge noobs unranked because it doesn't matter and we often lose so I think I'm under 1600 unranked, but my ranked Elo is right up there with the top 500 on the server. You can't really say much from just unranked Elo.
In ranked matches, above 1500 is blue rank and that's a good low cutoff for "high elo".

It's all because that one time you didn't notice me poking you guys about 5-man. So we ended up picking random people up and hitting 1350 without you :o

[edit] Utah lol I swear for a bit I was telling people "I'm only gonna 5 man with utahime & co." and then we were just never on at the same time as everyone else [/edit]

well, it's also that I'm picky and never have 5 people on that I want to play with except for that one time when Turkey and I were too busy smashing duo queue to notice you pinging us in skype for it. *shrugs*.
EDIT: I never see you anymore utah . Seems like Turkey is pretty much the only guy I can get to play with me when I'm on, except for 1 Baikin game last night, but he's too low elo honestly, not worth the risk of losing to a bunch of 1300s because he hasn't queued up to his proper elo.
