My sleeping schedule is really haphazard at the moment, and I've got way too many things to do - as a result my LoLing has taken a pretty significant hit. Also you tend to hop on really late (10PM+) whereas I've been sleeping at 9-10 of late. Blargh.

myopia: I dunno, finding 4 people that can put up with me that I can also put up with is tough. I'm not actively looking for anything, but if something rolls over my way I'll try.

the 10 PM thing has been a recent development, I'll probably be back on the 6-7PM logons starting tomorrow, stupid project has been fucking with my work schedule recently. and now that I'm reminiscing about the good old days of Kass + Panth, what the fuck ever happened to Pokey!?!?!?!?!?!?

On top of compatible personalities/people I can actually play with on a regular basis I don't think I'm willing to be dedicated enough to practice consistently to actually accomplish anything in WCG, at least compared to top-ranker teams like AoN/CLG etc. It's why when S1 came out most of my focus was on solo/duo queue, and I still treat 5-man ranked like normal/practice (despite my 1500+ rating which I don't even know how that happened...)

Meh.

As said, if something rolls my way I'll give it a shot but I'm far from actively trying. Ending up in top 1500 was more a case of most people being meh at the game and me just happening to have played some games out of boredom with people.

I think it's pretty funny. Especially since most games are over by 35 minutes and after that is the only point most champs can do dick to towers by themselves.

It's easy to set up a hero to backdoor, whether you can do it without the other team having made a decision to let you do it is another story, at least if you start playing at decent levels of competition.

What most people call backdooring is just solo pushing -_- That only happens when you completely ignore a lane and it pushes far enough to your side that anyone can just come, kill 1 creepwave, and then attack the tower.

A strategy specifically revolved around backdooring and solo pushing is interesting though.

Incidentally, has anyone REALLY figured out the creepwave mechanics to the point where they know exactly how to set up your creeps to push towers by themselves? I think there's some timing involved.

To me backdooring is teleporting to a tower to destroy it and then getting outta there immediately. I generally always strive to do this in games where my hero has a global teleport, or I set up wards and teleport to them to destroy towers.

I've been on a team with 5 teleports and we just set up a single ward in our opponent's base. As soon as the five of them left their base to push us, we all teleported in and took out two inhibitors right then and there.

Get a tiny creep # advantage, you can generally tell which creep wave is going which direction, and as long as no one stops it the small # advantage snowballs into giant creep wave of doom that pushes down a lane by itself.

Backdooring is attacking a tower without your creeps there. That's the exact definition.

My Yi strat of Teleporting to a pushed creep wave and taking a tower or two while the enemy team is off somewhere else is NOT backdooring, despite the LoL community calling it so.

i usually just farm a wave, walk with the creeps and farm the next. if its not too close to their tower, then it will usually become a big wave when left unchecked.
