2v5 and they had baron advantage, explain why people call him OP? They were probably already close to dead. Vladimir works extremely well with a healer and does a ton of aoe damage. If you didn't focus him down fast then yes he probably can aoe a whole team with REQ Right except they were all at full health. Like I said three of us immediately dropped (immediate meaning "instant" meaning before we could do anything) resulting in a 2v5 with all seven players at full health you're either misrepresenting the situation or they were fed, plain and simple.

I was thinking a lot about this scenario actually. In such a case I would be inclined to give my jungle Nasus a go. It definitely seems like a good idea to try to eliminate jungling competition. However, so many characters can jungle that I'm not sure if this type of banning is actually worth it. Better to just ban Kayle :D

Here is the result of the game. Since the game went on for 10ish minutes after the Baron play (we eventually got baron ourselves and pushed into their base for the win) these KDAs are not truly indicative of the situation at the time but even subtracting 5 kills/assists from Vlad and Taric you can see that neither are horribly fed.

your vlad looks extremely fed. kinda funny too, because he completely missed rylai's. why would you ever get warmogs on him when you could just get rylai's?
|
I don't know, nobody claimed he was a good Vlad.

thats always been my strat on my warwick account. some one would ban shaco, I would ban udyr/amumu then first pick warwick. there is no other jungler that can jungle as fast as these four so I always had advantage in the jungle. worked really well.
unless you count weaker picks like olaf just for the sake of jungling

doesn't rammus jungle really fast?
|
Malphite jungles pretty damn fast, too.
Certain fort pot heroes (Corki, Sion etc.) also farm really fast.
Edit: There're ways to jungle, just most people aren't knowledgeable/comfortable with them ;p

malphite is a pretty terrible pick though, which i covered in my post
his ult is bugged atm, not working properly. its basically janna's Q on a 2 minute CD
the problem with most other heroes jungling is they have no regeneration so sure they can keep up in level but they cant gank. i gank with warwick from lvl 2.

I think that our new player's section needs an update. Some information is a bit dated and misleading.
And on a completely different note. I have deduced a strategy to exploit the new champion releases. Assumptions: Winning is fun. Playing a new champ is fun/interesting. Having IP to spend is fun. I have at least 6300 IP Banked
1) Identify if new champion is OP, Balanced, or UP 2) If OP buy and use Champion to farm IP. (The same can be applied to Balanced Champs because newness gives a larger edge than people expect) 2a) If UP wait for the Buffs most likely incoming 3) Win and Use IP (Save enough to buy next new champion if he/she is OP) 4) Champ gets nerfed probably and you stop using him/her. (Panth)
Real Example: Xin Zhao. Right now he is still very strong, but not as strong as he was at release) It took riot almost 1.5 weeks to get him to this point.
Considering he cost 3150IP. Let's say conservatively 1.5 weeks is approx. 10 days. Using Xin Zhao you will definitely win at least 1 game a day for 150IP Bonus. You get ~100-120IP Per Win.
So 3150 - 1500(150x10) - 1150 ([115/2]*10) = 500 IP
SO EVEN IF YOU ONLY PLAY 1 GAME A DAY YOU ARE DOWN 500 IP THAT IS LIKE 1.111111111 ASHES
I know you are thinking. This is too amazing to be true. I'm Having Fun AND I'm Winning? It only cost me 500IP AND I've only played 1 game a day?
Other Example: Pantheon.
Any feedback/suggestions are more than welcome. I hope you enjoyed this mini-guide. If anyone wants I can convert all IP calculation into # of Ashe(s). I also have not purchased Xin Zhao YET, but it probably is still not too late.

You can do a nasty level 2 red-buff powerball gank with Rammus with almost full HP. Malphite's gank is slower (~4) but it, too, comes at like 70% hp which is enough. Corki and Twitch have some nice level 2/3 redbuff ganks that also generally kill people.
You can argue that Malphite himself is a weaker pick, which is fine. I wouldn't dispute that Malphite's kinda bleh now (because hard initiation isn't as important anymore).
But there're ways of jungling with other heroes, and you don't have to be at 100% hp to get a successful, powerful gank going at low risk.
By contrast heroes like Olaf are terrible, that I won't argue against, but I don't consider Olaf a good jungler anyways, lol.
Edit: Incidentally the reason why Malphite is bleh is that nowadays teams don't rely on Ashe/Trist DPS. He savages those two (and such similar heroes) but most people just carry stuff like Ezreal these days <_<
Edit2: A well-played Yi has one of the most brutal level 4 ganks, too. I mean... I know none of these are mainstream junglers but played well they're more than sufficient. The "problem" so to speak is that the number of people who can pull these off is highly limited. That's why the banning strat is surprisingly effective, hahah.

Akali is really good at cleaning up squishies. Pretty much any ranged carry or mage can be killed by her very quickly. Among the most common you will run into are Ezreal and Heimer. As long as you dodge the grenade you should have no problem killing either of those.

I played a game vs. an akali as Kayle and when my ult wasn't up, she could completely fuck my shit up. I dunno, if you are at all vulnerable, she just dumps all over you.

trying to do lvl 10-20 now as ezreal and vladimir just rapes faces in mid, best tact is to stand back and let him farm, his 2 second CD life steal takes 1/4 of my hp at lvl 3 O.o
If I had to vote OP/Mid/UP, so far OP. big time, especially early game.
* Free invulnerability which slows + does dmg to an enemy AND stealth's towers.
* Life steal which owns in so many variations so a free heal + dmg deal.
* No mana and Low Cd's.
* Group rape ult.
* Tank hybrid.
