I still maintain that there are like, at least 10 heroes better than Pantheon right now.

Yeah it'll get you kills against the low level people, but eventually you'll have to play to Taric's strengths to get the best out of him, so Clarity will help a ton. Clarity/Ghost like the others said would be much better imo. While I do agree I need ghost, I can't seem to give up the feeling that clarity is terrible for Taric. I usually have enough MP/5 and damage output to keep at ~50% mana. I will probably give up ignite (pretty much giving up first blood) for ghost. That should allow me to get merc treads instead of the more expensive boots of swiftness. -- It may be a bit against the grain, but I feel very confident with my build. When I asked for comments, I meant fine-tuning.. not 'PLAY A TANK. DO IT. DO IT.' Aura-whore Taric works. Soul Shroud + Aegis, Shatter, Radiance (plus his stun and heals) makes team fights hilariously tilted in our favor. If you think I'm a loon, I beckon you to try the progression: Soul Shroud, Boots of Swiftness, Nashor's Tooth, Aegis. The CD reduction, mana regen and attack speed makes him a killer in disguise. It literally always work if I'm laning with a dps that has some sort of disable. Clarity is something you ought to at least try. The CD feels pretty low, like with your MP5 you can cast constantly, and by the time you finally get low on mana your Clarity is up again. And when you are keeping a push going in midgame, Clarity with its mastery can give your whole team a ton of mana, like ~2k mana. There's no reason to keep everyone's health topped off if they all run out of mana. Taking Clarity as Kayle, I've given pushes an extra umph a couple times that made a huge difference. And as you play better and better people, they might keep an eye on your mana and see that it's really low and so they'll try to do something that they normally wouldn't do. Popping Clarity to give you and your DPS/Nuker enough mana for a fight can punish people that get lured in. Of course, people who are good enough to change their behavior based on your mana might also adjust based on your summoner spells, but it still happens. It's still a pretty baller move though. "Oh that Annie has no mana, she's harmless" and as soon as they get in range nuke nuke nuke

Assuming they're not retards like what I had, What would you have done against my team last night, consisting of Garen, Pantheon, Udyr, Singed, and Kassadin?

See, it really depends on how the game's playing out though, because it's really only a problem if they get itemized to the point where they can just laugh my HSSes off, and with a team like that, I just have a hard time seeing how they're gonna be able to deal with the early -> mid game presence of my post-6 Pantheon vs. any sort of harassment on my side lanes (+ I'm going to push Doran's Blade Pantheon's shit in with my Fort Elixir). If it were to look like it was approaching a fairly even endgame, I would probably end up with SotO from the early game, then I'd hang onto a long sword I bought to go for brutalizer and instead just rush to GA -> LW -> Banshee's or Sunfire (in that game, sunfire, stacking armor is important there) or something, as itemizing for damage just isn't going to get me anywhere vs. a team like that, better to just keep my burst moderate and give myself some sustained damage and survivability through LW.

Assuming they're not retarded (ie. if I had competent players on all lanes) I'd think you'd have a hard time owning Pantheon, ganking Garen (who can just silence your HSS), and ganking a Singed/Kass lane (double disable). Your best bet would be to gank the Udyr. Either way though in teamfights with this many disables I'd imagine your HSS gets shot down REALLY fast, and ofc if you're the one that's fed you'd be focused (we focused Kingdeath pretty fast every fight) pretty hard on top of that. I'm really curious as to how you'd transition when faced up against such a tanky/escape-heavy team.

but again, as I said up there, you go tankier quicker and you grab last whisper. when you're up against a bunch of disables and a bunch of guys who don't melt to HSS, you just turn into a soft tank with more of a focus on sustained damage, which conincidentally turns you into a better solo pusher, which is a big part of what you should be doing in a game like that anyway. at least that's my theory on it.
