Sup lollers! Just picked up Nidalee, such a fun hero loving the buttom mashing. But im feeling a bit lost when it comes to the build, at the moment ill go an AD heavy build starting off Ninja Tabi,Sheen, some times Sword of the Occult depending on how good im doing, then on to Guinsoo's Rageblade and then finishing my Trinityforce. Feel free to critizise And is AP avaliable on Nidalee?

My Strat I'll use E to get easy last hits and when I hit level 2 I start using the EQ combo to get a last hit and some damage on the enemy champ. If they get low enough hp and I'm sure I can close it out I'll use the EQ combo on them and finish them off with an ignite. Typically no one plays that recklessly though so I wait until I hit level 6 then I usually get the kill and after that I start roaming around for ganks.
In team fights I basically wait for it to start, wait a second or two then throw a Q, E in and R. After that EQ is usually off cooldown again so I'll throw another one of each if needed.
Any tips or suggestions for the way I play her?
For your items, I would get a haunting guise right after boots, and get void staff before zhonya. For summoner skills, I personally use Flash/exhaust. I find Flash saves my butt more often that ghost does since you can dodge projectiles, and you can flash across impassible terrain. Exhaust will allow you to get the entire ult on an enemy, which makes a world of difference. Here's the combo I use: Blade > Shunpo > Ult > Exhaust > Blade. In team fights, I may do instinct between the first blade and shunpo just so I can survive a lot longer.

ummmm, not getting points in W is a big mistake. Killer Instinct buffs the hell out of your ult and having both the healing debuff and big time damage reduction is really useful. I dunno, I'll let Pokey or Redtooth give you more specifics, as they both play Kat and I don't really, but I can guarantee that not getting KI is a big big big big mistake. I also think you're supposed to invest in survivability after Rylai's, but yea, w/e, I don't really know what I'm talking about in terms of specifics.

All good Nids run AP these days. It's something like: Doran's Ring Sheen + boots merc treads Gunisoo's Rageblade Lich Bane
EDIT: as I think about it though, I'm not even sure they get Sheen before rageblade nowadays. rageblade is really dumb.

Oh wow, I just read the skill info for KI again. WOW HOW DID I MISS THIS. I think after seeing that I'll definitely max W before Q now. I'll still grab one level of Q early to harass though.
Chairman: I don't have flash yet but when I get it I will look into it lol. Late game I generally always use W before I E in for the ult so it seems like I'm doing that bit alright.
Mogwai: Isn't Zhonya's considered survivablity? ><

Yeah it'll get you kills against the low level people, but eventually you'll have to play to Taric's strengths to get the best out of him, so Clarity will help a ton. Clarity/Ghost like the others said would be much better imo.
While I do agree I need ghost, I can't seem to give up the feeling that clarity is terrible for Taric. I usually have enough MP/5 and damage output to keep at ~50% mana. I will probably give up ignite (pretty much giving up first blood) for ghost. That should allow me to get merc treads instead of the more expensive boots of swiftness.

It may be a bit against the grain, but I feel very confident with my build. When I asked for comments, I meant fine-tuning.. not 'PLAY A TANK. DO IT. DO IT.' Aura-whore Taric works. Soul Shroud + Aegis, Shatter, Radiance (plus his stun and heals) makes team fights hilariously tilted in our favor.
If you think I'm a loon, I beckon you to try the progression: Soul Shroud, Boots of Swiftness, Nashor's Tooth, Aegis. The CD reduction, mana regen and attack speed makes him a killer in disguise. It literally always work if I'm laning with a dps that has some sort of disable.

Also, Taric shouldn't be getting first blood anyways, your carry needs that extra gold.

Leveling Q on Kat too much loses you lane control. I do believe more than 2 levels in that early on is a mistake, unless you're planning to push your lane really fast.

AP is the only way to play nidalee after the ad and hybrid nerfs. Also, you want to learn all the spots in the map where you can pounce through, that will save you lots of time and deaths.
edit: I might just make a nidalee guide when the servers go down for season 1.

For the billionth time in this (and the previous) thread, On a melee hero, in the game of LoL, at higher elos (yes I emphatically included that when I posted), You're sorely mistaken on a non-killer hero if you think you can farm all that shit fast enough, if the opponents are any good.
If you would like to run around during midgame fights with nothing but Giant's Belt, MM, and Boots of Swiftness, be my guest, but please don't snap back when I mention the current flavor-of-the-month build on Taric that emphasizes both his role in fights (a tank) and lets him be useful without actually completing a big item (Taric with Treads, Null, and Chain is one tough son of a bitch).
Now, onto the more prudent, useful question, "Why Clarity?" I'm personally partial to Flash/Ghost myself, but the reasons Tarics take Clarity can essentially be summed up as 1) You'll lose to Soraka without it 2) You'll lose to a mirrormatch who has it, if you don't It's pretty simple like that.

holy shit, I just saw this:
Will we see our opponents during champion select?
While you will be able to view those champions drafted by your opponents during Champion Select, their summoner names will be anonymous during this time.
*does a little happy dance*
thank god people won't be able to just be like, "smashGizmo? lol, no panth 4 u!"

Too bad pending his nerf he's still (atm) an insta-ban hero.
