any opinions?
First item should be damage, not attack speed, on Trist (who gets mass attack speed from Q). I'd move replace LW with IE, then after that it depends on the game. Are they stacking defense? Then get LW to punch through it. Are they not stacking defense? Get more damage.

i always thought getting LW as your first damage item seemed kind of iffy. AS doesnt help enough until you get more damage(especially cause trist already has rapid fire). and the armor pen doesnt help until they stack alot of armor. then again i dont play trist much
edit* zzz just listen to southlight

doran's blade + hp pot boots 1 2 more doran's blades BF Sword Zerker Greaves or like, merc treads or something IE
|
On tris I'd start with brutalizer but that's probably just me

Oke, thanks for your help.

is it bad that I read the announcement of them banning hundreds of griefers and I had to check my emails immediately

Especially like tanky items that gives mana like Banshee, or maybe FoN for movespeed. for AP you get second RoA if you can get it really fast, rylai zhonya etc.
For morgana just RoA mejai zhonya etc seems effective

Anyone have a good item build for twistedfate? I bought him yesterday and have been fooling around with him a bit.
So far i'v been trying to mainly stack attackspeed items and some dmg, it seems effective. I also have heard that AP is good on him as well.
Thoughts? Builds?

... atkspeed tf is for tools... its just mad ks'ing. u need AD, AP or some sort of hybrid
edit: i didnt actually provide anything usefull
i like starting saphire or doran's ring first, then going sheen->merc treads -> guinsoo's, not necessarily in that order, depends a bit on how often u go back. then hit up a bf sword item, thirster is a personal preference, but infinity can work too, and then a nashor's tooth.
im not pro tf, but it works aight for me.
edit #2: i would consider this a 'hybrid' sorta build, also, atkspeed in itself is aight (guinsoo's and nashor's are atk speed), but when u say 'stacking' atkspeed, it makes me turn my nose up simply because atkspeed without a significant source of dmg is kinda useless and is just for mad ksing.

AS TF is fine, but not gonna comment much on TF because I don't know how to play him and I've seen different people do different functional builds on him.

0/9/21, 9/0/21, or 9/21/0, really up to you, I like the first the best (<3 strength of spirit).
Attack Speed Marks, HP Quints, Mp5pL Glyphs and Seals
Ghost/Cleanse
open boots + 3 health pots malady zerker greaves madred's razors phage madred's bloodrazors wit's end or SotD frozen mallet
obviously Wit's End is only useful vs. teams with at least 4 mana users, and there's plenty of room to shuffle the end of the build order up as you see fit, but I like Malady + razors to snipe dragon whenever I have 10-15 seconds alone in the area and to quickly get Lizard buff which is what makes you a real killing machine.
and no guys, I'm not kidding, this is roughly how I've been building TF recently and it's effective despite being full of items we all think are shitty like zerker greaves, malady, and wit's end.
Skills go W,E,E,W,E,R,E,W,E,W,W,R,W,Q,Q,Q,R,Q,Q, spam the shit out of PaC when fighting, with mana regen runes and meditation and picking blues sometimes and the fact that it's the only spell you actually cast, you really should be able to use it pretty much whenever you want. I could see some room for refinement in Seals and Glyphs to compensate for the fact that you don't cast much, but frankly I've been pretty content to just spam like crazy, sometimes even mashing W with no regard for what comes up during teamfights just to get damage out there.
I dunno, the whole thing feels scrubby and I admittedly don't play TF much anymore, but it still feels surprisingly effective every time I run it and don't get FBed by Maknoon :p.

So I read idrs guide on Karthus but for items I was thinking wouldn't Mejal really beef him up?
|
depends how you play him. some karthus players go nuts on charging in there with defile on and die a lot, in which case mejai is a poor choice. others are just like, sniping lay wastes and using their ult a bunch, in which case, yea, mejai's is good.

Thanks for the replies so far, I guess i'm going to try a hybrid (little bit of everything) build
|
Eben, the thing with hybrid is, its not as much burst as AP, and not as much sustained dmg as AD. It gets quite close to both, but ur gonna be more of a team player and focusing more on getting stuns off and helping in ganks/counterganks rather than trying to fuck ppl up 1v1.
|
personally, I've always hated the "hybrid" builds on TF. I think you can go Sheen, GRB, Lichbane, into Nashor's or Rylai's, with possibly a soulstealer in there early, but I consider this the AP build, and not really so much a hybrid build... it plays like a crappy version of the old TF, which is still OK, but eh, I've never been a fan.
EDIT: I understand that you accidentally stumble across some Damage and Attack Speed with this build, but it's not the focal point, the focal point is the AP.
AS builds work with TF because you have a large built in "Damage every 4 attacks" trigger that comes with some built in attack speed so you can abuse this along with malady (for early damage) and bloodrazors (for late damage) to focus entirely on triggering your on hit effects as frequently as possible.
|
Hmm yeah, the TF build I've surprisingly found to be quite effective is the one where you just stack every single attack proc + aspd item there is(Rageblade, malady, wits, sotd, razor is a pretty decent build)
