I don't think you understand how bad players are. I know exactly what he is talking about. I've said it before in this thread but try averaging 2;1 k/d with 250-300 creep kills a game but still losing more than half of your games. People don't know how to control their characters in the lowbie ratings, so they just rush in with attack move. Newbies are pretty much GUARANTEED to chase. You can not tell a newbie not to chase. I don't know how many times someone has gotten someone to like 20% and they chase them halfway across the map just to die to everyone on their team.
Newbies also for some reason have egos. You tell them what to do, they call you a newb and then go tower dive. You deal with mostly probably 13-15 year old who are with their buddies. So trying to help them is taken as a insult and they just go crazy to try and look cool in front of their friends. Sometimes even the friends join in with the "newbieness" like tower diving etc etc.
I don't understand how your averaging 250-300 minion kills a game(unless your heim), even in really really long games I don't get that when Im using a good farmer, I think you might not be pushing with your team or your teams not pushing or something. sounds like your laning phase is going on forever... while farming is important, ending the game and killing towers is what wins the game., even in low level games, if you play a tank, type in push with me you can stomp a game even if other team is really fed cause they won't defend as a group, they'll congo line in to your push... Pushing together can pretty much destroy anyone, especially if your tanking...
Also, buy wards for the rivers.. your team mates wont get ganked, and you can destroy anyone trying dragon.. later in game ward the baron... if they have a jungler buy a ward, new junglers are really really easy to pick on, and they usually are under levels.
This is how it is for me at low maybe low/mid elo, Idk where I'm at.
My best W/L ratio is with Nasus/Taric as they good pushers, im best with annie though.
EDIT: I can also lane with Nasus forever. =D, 1v2 Laning with him is actually pretty good as well

I used to hit 300-400 creep kills with Ashe in my newbie stages. And I probably lost half of them. You're gonna hafta realize that getting gold mostly off of creep farming is very inefficient in LoL (I have more gold on Kassadin with 30-40 creep kills than most other ppl in the game, that should tell you something), and that carry heroes aren't overpowering enough like in DotA to say "okay we won" ala super farmed Void.

Worth noting: while heros like Kat can solo-rape teams at low ELO, Heimer can solo-rape Nexuses. Just wait for your low ELO opponents to get wildly out of position (slowly attempting to push mid for no reason, doing Baron when it takes 3 minutes and your team isn't wiped, etc.), then show up at one of their towers with golem buff and a thirst for destruction. They may not even notice/do anything in response.

I'm curious what people are doing with Kog'Maw now that he is free.
I'm running magic pen/mp5-level/mp5-level/flat hp for my marks/seals/glyhps/quints. I start with doran's ring, get tears and boots (usually upgrade to +3). Get archangels and lich bane, then the game is pretty much over.
In team fights I spam a lot of artillery with the golem buff and support people that are backing out with my sticky ball. I try to make good use of the bio arcane barrage range to do some good damage with lich bane as well. Lich bane also gives me a lot of dps when someone is on top of me or when I need to kill a tower.
I haven't seen any of the guides use a build like this and wonder if it is any good or if I should be trying something else out. I haven't tried out attack damage yet, I generally enjoy AP heroes more than AD.

Just played a practice game with kog'maw. What summoner spells do people run on him? Clarity seems almost essential, teleport is useful, but you also need flash or ghost to have some chance to live. Anyway, he felt largely useless, handicapped by low initial damage and mana.

Played a bizarre game with Yiruru this morning, included moments of brainfart by me (leaving Yiruru to dry at least three times LOL) and a Poppy bashing herself through a wall.

ghost because you have a slow. exhaust/flash/cleanse 2nd slot imo.
clarity sucks because his spells are cheap (for farming) and it doesnt' give you enough mana to do more than 1 more ult shot if you're spamming it.

cleanse + flash/ghost is better than both flash and ghost...
I think archangel staff(s) are good on kog when your going ap should help with most of mana problems... still a little squishy bug :D

Heimer is fine. You just need team coordination, just like with shaco. Except shaco can force a teamfight at level 1 or he gets a free bluebuff.

I just watched the first part of your vods there Southlight and god damn, Soraka and Kassadin is gay lol. I think you've already said you not last hitting with your q was a flaw but all the Kassadins I see last hit with it. Especially with Soraka. But damn, nothing they could do... Soraka is just so lame to face in the laning stage... 
I lol'd at that poppy part, reminded me of one time when I was fighting a very low hp Ezreal just above the dragon and he arcane shifted down to dragon and somehow I was able to walk through it also and kill him hahaha.

Yeah as I said Sphere range is huge so you can hit them at tower too, unless they're on the other side... GP can deny creep but I'll keep forcing the GP to drain mana healing and I'll really slow down his farming. And Kass functions significantly better with low gold count, sooooo :p
And yeah the Poppy XD looooooool. I was like where the fuck... wat.

Hey has anyone ever tried a reverse Golem gank where the shaco puts as many jitb in the bush in the river as he can before anyone gets there and the whole team is waiting in there too, and when they come to check it out kablam! First blood.

LOL yeah very true. I guess if you've got a 5-man you could do even better cheesey level 1 stuff than that though. Stuff involving blitzcrank/clairvoyance silliness.

Should I get armor pen quints for my 2nd rune book (Apen reds, dodge yellows, cdr/lvl blues, hp quints) or just stick with my hp quints?

If you're playing physical dps character then yeah, Armour pen quints are pretty awesome.
