Every single manaless hero makes other runes competitive in a way. MP5 doesn't stand a chance against other runes on Shen :p Same thing for SoS.
If they nerf those, some mana users might need a buff. I am not exactly against nerfing them though.
SoS is Strength of Spirit, the Mana into HP5 mastery in the defensive tree.

re: the last few pages.
You're winning against kennen if he hasn't killed you yet.
Usually if theyre putting all their effort into trying to make you dead then you can get ahead on CS.

SoS = Strength of Spirit, 1 HpS / 5 Hp5 per 1000 / 500 / 333 Mana.
edit: beaten

This is a question for the higher level players:
Out of my friends I would say I am the best jungler and I want to work on stepping up my game there since most of them don't want to. However, at our elo nobody ever wards dragon (talking normal queue here, since we rarely have five online to do ranked) and I can almost 100% of the time take it and nobody on the other team even notices, not even their jungler if they have one.
However, because we can't always play with 5 we often have the randoms in the duo lane and they often herp-de-derp push the other team all the way to their tower making a gank there extremely difficult. Is there a way to force dragon fights, such as by having bottom run up to dragon and/or mid come down to it before I begin doing it to bait the other team there?
Ultimately, I am looking for a way to try and get kills, or at least force the other team to back, in situations where a gank would be unwise or suicide.

if you can take dragon/their jungle completely uncontested, do you even need kills?

This
Also if you want to be more aggressive then you can aggressively ward the enemy buff creeps and try to gank the jungler as he goes to get them.

Depending the lanes, you may still be able to gank bottom. A 3v2 dive is very workable with the right champs and the element of surprise...
Edit: Note, I'm not a top tier player, but it's an option you didn't seem to consider.

Currently 9 sign-ups, only need one more to make sure this happens
OK guys, with the demise of Gozey, I'm going to (try to?) run a TL inhouse. Unlike Gozey, I'm going to try to mix things up a bit to keep things fun, since TL has a pretty diverse skill range. Sign up by November 12th, tournament on November 14th, 17:00 GMT (+00:00) 19:00 GMT (+00:00) (note: this will be after daylight savings ends, so it'll be 2pm eastern time; TL's time tag may currently imply 3pm eastern) (second note: moved 2 hours later so west coasters can play). Here are the rules:
Signups are individual. I will cut off at multiples of five. If I get 27 signups, the last two people to sign up will be dropped used as alternates.
PM me to sign up.
Teams will be auto-generated based on ELO to keep things even.
Series will be three games.
Game 1: Teams will draft from the week's free champions (10 free champs means no bans). You are drafting for the OTHER TEAM. In other words, you want to pick the worst, weakest, most unbalanced composition possible. Standard 1-2-2-2-2-1 pick order.
Game 2: Teams will take turns banning from the free champions, 1-2-1-1, with the team that lost game 1 going second (and getting 3 bans). This will leave 5 free champions remaining. Both teams will consist of these champions (mirror match).
Game 3: ARAM!
I'd like to use more than the free champs, but not everyone has everything, and keeping lists of who you can legally ban/force the other team to use based on who has what is too much of a hassle.

By the way, how good are those energy runes? I never knew they existed until recently but they look like crap. Has anyone used them and found them useful? Salce runs ep5plvl yellows on Kennen, I run yellows and quints. They really make a difference on him. Shen and Akali, not so much but I use them because I have them. I wouldn't waste the IP unless you're a dedicated Kennen player (Salce) or just stupid (me). 820 / 2050 per rune that're only useable on 3 champs is insane. Ep5pL yellows are sadly necessary on Kennen. They are the only ones I would invest in though.

True, however if they have a jungler, then I can only ward their buffs as there will be little in the way of creeps there. Warding their buffs is something I actually do but often I will find myself out of position by coincidence, such as covering a lane on the opposite side of the map, or doing a buff myself.
In the case of the latter, should I abandon my buff in an attempt to steal their / gank their jungler? Is it worth it to actively wander their jungle waiting for the other to show up even if it means no farm for you for a little while?
The second question might be more reasonable if you know you're ahead of them, say because of a previous gank.
Edit: Also, happy birthday spinesheath!

When you ward it your entire team needs to be on alert to disrupt it. Warding buff = intent to create combat there. I'm just about to force my team to grab their buff every time it goes up much akin to grabbing our own buff every time it goes up

There's no way that W can go live, right? That seems so unfun to play against outside of premade groups.

Udyr is amazing. I just played my first game with him jungling and we had the greatest come back in the entire world ^_^ We have 1 tower down when they take out our inhib. They're running Morde, Lux, Sona, Taric, Karthus...We finally pull things together and fend them off a few times but we can never push far enough to do damage.
Eventually our Mundo is so stacked/farmed/beastly that we start coming back and eventually win it after an hour. How do you combat teams that have three healers and Morde who can push like no other early on ^_^ That was by far the roughest game I've ever played.

The first LeBlanc leak, however it absolutely wouldn´t suprise me if they were fake:
Illusions of Grandeur (Passive):
LeBlanc always appears to have maximum health to her enemies.
Shroud of Secrecy (Q):
For the next 5 seconds, LeBlanc manipulates the air around her to enter a state of semi-invisibility. While in this state, LeBlanc is still targetable, but is nearly invisible, isn't displayed on the minimap, and all of her information is hidden from the enemy. Her base dodge increases by 1% per second every second for the duration. Upon being attacked or using this skill again, LeBlanc will leave her Shroud of Secrecy.
When leaving Shroud of Secrecy, LeBlanc detonates the spell, inflicting 75/125/175/225/275 (+0.8 AP) magic damage to those nearby and stunning them for 0.25 seconds.
Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14 second after unstealthing Cost: No Cost
Calling of Confusion (W):
LeBlanc chants a sinful melody, inflicting the selected target with Confusion for 2/3/3/3/4 seconds and dealing 50/100/150/200/250 (+0.6 AP) magic damage.
For the duration of Confusion, all visible champions on the victim's screen have switched names and appearances with another champion on the field, and all anti-ally targeting restrictions are lifted.
Cooldown: 15 second Cost: No Cost
Apparition of Artifice (E):
LeBlanc conjures up a controllable Doppelganger of a chosen enemy unit, lasting 5/7.5/10/12.5/15 seconds or until destroyed. The Doppelganger retains 5/10/15/20/25% of the original target's health, and 10/20/30/40/50% of their attack damage and ability power.
If the Doppelganger is destroyed through enemy action, it explodes, inflicting 40/75/110/145/180 (+1.2 [Doppelganger's] AP) damage to nearby enemies.
If the Doppelganger expires naturally, LeBlanc is healed for 40/75/110/145/180 (+1.2 [Doppelganger's] AP) health.
Cooldown: 30 second Cost: No Cost
Darkness of Deception (R):
LeBlanc summons a distorting mist over her team for 5/10/15 seconds, causing allies to appear to swap names and appearances. LeBlanc can cast this spell again to end it early.
When Darkness of Deception ends, the mist surrounding LeBlanc's allies explodes, each doing 100/200/300 (+0.5 AP) magic damage to surrounding enemies.
Cooldown: 90/80/70 second Cost: No Cost
-------------------------- TL:DR: A no Mana Pubatomizer. This skillset exploits people that don´t pay attention. W alone will tear uncoordinated Teams apart (aka soloqueue).

That sounds like the least fun champion ever. All the balance issues of invisible champs, but multiplied.
|
Yeah, that would certainly be the most annoying champion ever...

Hmm my mundo seems to fizzle out lategame. I've tried everything from spirit visage and 4 dps items to pure tanking items, and I either die too fast or deal almost no damage. Any tips? (assume there is already a dedicated tank, if mundo is main tank itemizing is easy, if unpleasant)
as for the screenshot a few posts up, lasting until lategame vs an all AP team is certain victory

That skillset is the prime example of what Zileas has been explaining to be bad design in a recent thread http://www.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=293417. Since he has Veto rights I fully expect it to be fake. Those skills put to shame the old Morphling ult, especially when combined, and DotA area Guinsoo was not really paying attention to those kind of things.
|
Obvious fake.
If not, uh, time to stop playing this game. lol.

all i do is solo queue cause im afraid ill do bad otherwise, but fuck am i gonna have to consider finding people to play with D:
