our team looked good with the first two picks then degenerated into a pool of PLEASE KILL ME God I hate everyone who follows these tier lists. Unless you play a top level, getting a ryze or teemo will not lose you the game. Crying about them picking those champs will, though.

Generally I use 2600 by 10 minutes as my 'guideline' trying to farm GRB+Boots1 on my Kayle, typically it gets pushed to 12 because last hitting every minion is borderline impossible even if completely unharassed(the dreaded minions splitting damage occurs, usually your siege minion is the culprit).
In a solo lane that is definitely not lvl 6. Show me 2600 gold vs a good oponnent on a lane in 10 minutes by You, I'd love to see that. My standard for a Rod of Ages on Cho when I took mid ages back was 9 minutes farming both wraith camps.

And wtf are you guys fucking crazy teemo is such a good champion after the buff. Nyx was on teemo last night and he was basically acing teams 5v1 abusing shrooms stealth malady and brush in a 2v1 lane. Teemo's definitely a top-tier champion now, blinding dart + poison + malady + instashroom is insane.

I honestly can't tell if you're trolling or not, because I played a game a couple nights ago where mushrooms were destroying people left and right. Although to be fair my team didn't know what oracles were. :D

He gives great map control and can counter a dps champ.

I am dead serious, teemo rapes any physical dps so hard because of auto-attack DoT + blind and he zones pretty much anyone else. He's impossible to gank because of stealth + shrooms, even if you get oracles what can you do? He's gonna see it coming and move quick out. Last night I helped nyx take top at like 8 minutes after I ganked with malphite and 5 minutes later their entire forest was covered in shrooms. If we did baron before they surrendered they wouldn't have been able to get to us at all without eating 20+ shrooms because he laid a huge field of shrooms between their wraith grass and bottom and all along the baron/red path too.
Seriously teemo w/ rush malady is gonna wreck so hard this patch.

i hate the teemo buff
fuck shrooms give him a stronger ad build . make some kind of good dps mechanic that makes teemo good in team fights and i'll be happy, mushrooms are annoying to play against and i hate planting them.

New teemo is horridly frustrating to lane against... oh my godddddd T_T;
New malady hits hard

Teemo is no longer a joke. I say that's good for the game. If he's overpowered might be a better question. If you leave him alone too long he'll shroom a death trap for your team.

Oracles counters Teemo stealth AND shrooms. They don't all get placed in bushes.
|
Corki counters Teemo shrooms.
...but Teemo counters Corki.

I laned against one with kayle. all you can really hope for is to try to grab as many last hits as possible and not die.
Harassing him is not cost effective in any category (mana health or time)

As I'm not sure who you are or what your Elo is I can't say if you're playing with good players but we beat a team with 1900 ranked players last night with Nyx carrying us super had as teemo so I doubt your argument applies to high Elo. It's not his stealth or his shrooms that you need to counter, it's his insane fucking dps with malady and the fact that he can shroom directly on top of you to prevent escape after blinding dart if you try to take him 1v1 coupled with the fact that he can't be ganked and you can't chase him into brush ever because he can instashroom it and you eat a huge slow + dot + blinding dart + poison from his auto-attack w/ malady damage/MR reduction followed by shroom #2 and at the very least he's going to do a ton of damage to you before you can really even target him without a ward in the brush, not to mention he can camoflague and move quick to escape basically anything if he's running flash/ghost.
Saying "oracles counters teemo" makes me feel like you really haven't seen him played well post-patch imo. That's like "oracles counters twitch" or "thornmail counters yi". No item "counters" a champion and I wish people would stop saying that.

Banshee's Veil counters Rocket Grab is about as close to 'hard counter' as items get, but I mostly otherwise agree! Teemo is nuts early to midgame, and lategame you just become a really strong red-buff bot / disabler. 2.5 sec blind on Q is really, really strong.
edit: Executioner's Calling vs Mundo is pretty strong as well, but not 'hard counter' or anything.

vlad with 20/20/20 stacks counters ryzebot.

oh yeah well 5hit this one time a Yi perfectly countered my Twitch! He PREDICTED I was going to go Haunting Guise and STACKED MR. Chalice/Mercs Yi > Mpen Twitch.

Banshee's Veil counters the initial use of the skill, not the champ. Blitz is still a pretty big threat in teamfights because A) nobody focuses blitzcrank because it's stupid, B) aoe burst-silence nuke, knockup w/ powerfist and C) midfight rocket grab on carry or channeler.
Executioner's Calling vs Mundo and SotD vs Jax are both assets when fighting them but it's far from a "item counters hero" situation.
[edit] Not calling you out because I realize you're agreeing with me, just reinforcing my point lol [/edit]

I have not enjoyed it for at least a week. I don't think I want to completely stop, but I certainly need to take a break and decide if it's worth it. I wont take a break if it's installed.
Peace out, for now. Hope you guys have fun. I don't know if you have played every champ yet, but I was in the same boat. I was running around playing taric and well... taric is pretty easy so I was getting bored. So I was looking for more, so i moved over to amumu, someone with some decisions. I was winning games but not really enjoying playing them.
I was liking the whole jungle -> gank thing comming with amumu, so I started playing junglers: ww, to udyr, to yi, to olaf. I was kind of enjoying it, mostly yi. But really, I started to not enjoy the change. It just wasn't me. I was jungling like a robot, then ganking and well if a gank didn't work I just always felt like it was my fault. This really, started taking a toll as I was moving up in Elo (playing amumu / playing a jungler really helps your win %).
At this point, I realized that I had never really played a carry. So I picked up ashe, and was playing her, and ya carrying was fun and all. But the whole farm for a billion years, then come in and 3 hit everyone was something I really hated. Learning to carry was good for my game, and helped me understand carries better but it was just not really for me.
This is about when I stumbled upon Mord. I played some games with the giant metal man, and I was really loving his game play. Just the way he played, I just thought it was awesome and was having a good time.
Saddly, I was one of those "ZOMG ELEMENTZ TIER LIST!!!11111one" people for a while, and stopped playing mord because he wasn't T1 or T2.
Having been moving through the types of champions, I started to try casters. Played some anivia, which me being agressive really was not good for me. So I stopped playing her quickly, and started playing morg. She was fun, was winning, and really was kinda liking the way she was playing.
As I was playing Morg, I then started to look at the ways I was building her. RoA, Rylais, BV, etc... and I noticed I was just building her tanky and using her base damage on her skills to kill people
This is about when Morg was starting to get boring, and Pentakill Mord came out. That skin was so awesome, it just made me come back to Mord. He is my favorite champ and he right now I'm just exploring different builds, especially with patch changes to items to see what works.
I win like 95% of my Mord games, simply because his play style meshes with me so well. I love playing as Mord and it breathed new life into LoL.
Along my path to Mord, I played a lot of different champions, a lot of different arch types (pretty much all tanks but ali, all support but sona, all ranged carries except mf, all melee dps, all junglers, etc...) there are still a few champs I still need to play, and a few that I want to learn to play better, but as I do this, I know I can always come back to Mord for a fun game.
I think Hotshotgg does this too, you see him playing all these champions, but when he just wants to have a good time he plays nidalee or cho. These are champs he just likes playing, has nothing to do with how good of a champ they are, or what he is playing, he just gets frustrated and comes back to his "rock" champion. The champion that will not let him down.
I think that finding that one champion that really meshes with your play style is important, doesn't matter what champ it is. Teemo, eve, amumu, taric, mf, tyrn, mundo, what ever. Just a champ you can play that just feels natural to play.
Once you have that champion, you can play that champ when you are getting frustrated / the game is getting boring. But when you are just enjoying LoL as a whole you can go and learn other champs to improve your game.
Me. I'm spending some more time with mord, but when I'm done with him the next few champs I want to get good with are: udyr, gragas, and garen. (all of which i suck with, mostly due to not spending a lot of time playing them.)
- - - - - -
As a side note, I did this "take a bit of time off because the game was boring" thing and that DOES NOT WORK. Your game suffers so much, that you end up getting frustrated at your self because you do not play at the same level. LoL takes a lot of time for you to get back into shape after taking a break.
I wish that I never took my break, and would of just went and played a bunch of different champs. That would of allowed me to find Mord and would of allowed me to not take that break of not playing, and just take a break of a crap tonne of fun games with a champ I love.
Taking a break sucks, but finding that one champ you love is AMAZING. There are 62 champs (i think or 61 i forget) now, there's one that will mesh with how you play and will keep the game exciting no matter how many games you play with them,
