I have not enjoyed it for at least a week. I don't think I want to completely stop, but I certainly need to take a break and decide if it's worth it. I wont take a break if it's installed. Peace out, for now. Hope you guys have fun.

Anyways, apparently Nidalee wasn't the only champion that got her AD buffed. I heard Corki did and I'm sure there are a lot more, this probably due to the apen nerf?

When I hit 6 is when I actually starting getting farm because cougar is easy mode farm.

Oh well, subtlety doesn't show itself well over the internet. I was trying to point out that Dodge is equivalent to Armor, in that it is something you seek if you are dealing with a heavy auto-attacking team. You said that Dodge loses to casters. Casters can be handled with MRes. Ergo, FoN exists, ergo dodge isn't garbage USING THE PREMISE OF "Casters are unaffected by your dodge chance." I'll accept the idea that Veil is the best MRes item, but to put FoN 3rd to 6th? I'll have to disagree there. /notimportantsiderant "Multiplicative stats" are stats whose effect is multiplied by one another. For example, if you hit 80% of your attacks, for 50 damage per attack, at 2/3 of an attack per second, your DPS is 0.8 * 50 * 2/3 = 26 + 2/3 DPS. In this case, damage, attack speed, and hit change are multiplicative stats. Let's examine a simple case of two multiplicative stats with varying costs. The cost of stat A is C(A), the cost of stat B is C(B), and the product of the stats is A*B, which you wish to maximize. Let's call this V (for Value). Now, let's say you have some moneys to spend. You're going to spend M(A) percent of your moneys on A, and M(B) percent on B. M(A) + M(B) = 1 (obviously). What we know: V = A * B A = M(A) / C(A) B = M(B) / C(B) 1 = M(A) + M(B) Therefore: V = M(A) / C(A) * (1-M(A)) / C(B) and thus: V = ( M(A) - M(A)^2 ) / ( C(A) * C(B) ) What we want to know is what percentage of your money should you spend on A (and therefore B) to maximize V. So we want to find M(A) such that V is maximized. To do this, we take the derivative of V with respect to M(A) -- the derivative being 0 signifies an inflection point in the curve, and thus a local minimum or maximum. Since the above equation is basically of the form Y = aX^2 + bX, and the quadratic coefficient is negative, we know the only point of inflection will be a global maximum. So: dV / dM(A) = 1 / ( C(A) * C(B) ) - 2M(A) / ( C(A) * C(B) ) Setting the derivative to 0: 0 = 1 / ( C(A) * C(B) ) - 2M(A) / ( C(A) * C(B) ) Multiplying by ( C(A) * C(B) ): 0 = 1 - 2M(A) Adding 2M(A) to both sides: 2M(A) = 1 M(A) = 0.5 In other words, you should spend 50% of your money on stat A. Note that this final equation does not include costs! You can do examples to convince yourself of this (make sure to use either large enough numbers that rounding isn't an issue, or allow the purchase of fractional stats). Now, LoL is vastly more complex than this. For one thing, you start off with some stats, which are sunk costs (e.g. if you're playing DPS Alistair, you want to invest in attack speed, because he comes with a lot of moneys-worth of flat damage). The number of multiplicative stats is also huge, since it includes both offense and defense (see my post at http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewpost.php?post_id=6106966 for information about Combat Value and positioning, which is related to this). But the general idea persists -- you want to be well rounded. In summary, to reduce damage as much as possible, you want equal cash-value in dodge, armor, and HP (I'm ignoring the armor/mres difference here, another complication). Since most characters have about 30 base armor (a bit over 450 cash-worth), and no dodge, you want to spend about 450 more on dodge than you do on armor.

Its been a really shitty day, compound that with two shitty games where i think we were the better players (esp the second tbh) means i was just really pissed and had to take a bit of time off. Sorry again, that was really bm. nah brah, me and caller were definitely not even close to doing our parts, especially me. which sucked cause the first two games we played i played pretty well but everyone else fucked up, then on the two easy games we had against shitty opponents i played like shit and no one could carry me ![]()

I BELIEVE attackspeed is based off your base aspd. 55% aspd will increase your aspd by 55% of your BASE aspd, so Hmm. Upon further testing, attackspeed is rather complicated. Anyone know exactly how it's calculated?

Same thing happened to me. Felt like I got too used to all the heros and there was no one "fun" for me to play anymore. Take a break from the game. Wait for some new heros and patches and then come back and it will be fresh. + Show Spoiler + You could even go play HoN or Dota... shhhh don't tell anyone I said that

Anyone know exactly how it's calculated? It´s a global base attackspeed. Every Champ gets his own bonusattackspeed at level 1 and beyond. Thus any attackspeedbonus adds the same attaks per second to any champion regardless if it´s Alistar or Mordekaiser.

Anyone know exactly how it's calculated? Attack Speed is based off of your base attack speed, like you stated. So if you have a 1.000 base attack speed (for simple math) and purchase a 55% AS item you will now have 155% AS or 1.550 attacks per second. Purchasing a 40% AS item after this will give you 195% AS or 1.95 attacks per second. Technically speaking this is a form of diminishing returns since each attack speed item past the first will have less of an effect on your overall dps relative to where you were immediately before the purchase. In other words, a 1% increase in AS results in a 1% increase in dps. Continued, a 55% increase in AS is a 55% increase in DPS but buying 40% more AS afterwards does not give you 40% more dps then what you had immediately before the purchase.

Teemo is actually really pro now. He has stuff that's unique to him that's relevant (short CD 100% blind) and that shouldn't be relevant but is occasionally amazing (mushrooms to pad retreat). Not exactly first-pick material but I think he's a 4th-5th pick against an Olaf / Trynd / Jax / Yi
