Compare this to Taric, Janna, or even Sona, they have much more staying power as a support through out the game. | ||

What pisses me off is when a Zilean uses QWQ so much that they end up not having enough fucking mana to ulti when the time comes. Facepalm support. Also, learn to speed up your allies, it's a nice buff, ya know. | ||

Personally I don't have a lot of experience playing with Zileans but when I do it seems they always push lanes instead of pull. Zilean's early game is awesome though, and I don't understand the hate on his role early/mid-game at all. He seems to me to be one of the best champions to zone, has great potential in early/mid skirmishes, and can push a lane when it is actually needed. Janna pretty much outdoes him in every aspect though. I'd rather Janna shield me and whirlwind chasers if I'm low then a Zilean ulting me in the exact same situation. I think that is mainly where the problem lies... not that Zilean is totally useless, he just serves as a support late game that doesn't have the same capabilities as Taric/Janna/Sona. If you're in a situation where you're pretty much fucked, his ult or speed isn't going to save you. Janna and Taric at the very least have a way to get you out of a seemingly shitty situation. | ||

Ranged carry best friend: Janna Melee carry best friend: Zilean I don't really like comparing Zilean to Sona/Taric since they fill different roles. Every team will always want heals so they will be picked regardless and most teams that run janna will also want to run some heals as well. Zilean is probably easier to compare to other casters since he has a strong nuke and cc with a support ult. Zilean just takes some getting used too since he has to multi-task between so many things. Gotta worry about putting down bombs, looking for opportunities to slow speed up, while determining where your ult would be best used. And you should all pick Zilean since he will make people who dont buy merc treads rage with his 5.5 second long slow GG. | ||
