Thread has been pretty inactive, not that it has been incredibly active ever...

Anyways, patch is coming up soon I believe and I am looking forward to actually being able to play during non-tourney times.
Can you ever argue in favor of something without first proving it?

This game needs better advertising in North America, whenever I play late into the night finding games becomes impossible.

Well the next patch will merge the queues and implement a smart game finding feature, which will prioritize putting you in games in the region you are from.

That's not the problem though, almost everybody plays on EU anyway, it's just that almost nobody is online, I was actually queueing in the 3v3 where my team was the only one just because of the time. If more Americans played, no matter the time zone, there would be people online and playing games.

Do achievements, the best are to win 10 games with each BL. Go into single player, set up 1 round to win against 1 bot... and just grind to 10 games really quick with each BL, it will give you a ton of Bloodcoins, especially if the maps are rotating too.

This is also probably the most dead I have seen the game yet, I think everyone is waiting for this next patch.

Yeah the long wait for that patch made the community stop playing for a while. Especially since Grimrog is pretty OP, aswell as some other balance issues.
But I believe after the new patch with the traits and medallions will make some players stick around longer because of the progression. Sure it will make the game a bit different, but the change is needed for the playerbase.

What do you guys think about traits and medallions? I am all for it I just hope they don't go overboard, very interested in what they will be!

I really can't give my opinion without trying it out. I think that the way Stunlock could have a success with a trait / "leveling" systen would to introduce new traits to bloodlines as they level up, rather than simply improving the traits that are already there. This might even add balance to the game in certain matchups.
One example would be a person knowing they want to pick nomad, and their opponent is a thorn. Normally there is nearly a 0% chance a nomad can win vs. a thorn when played at a similar skill level; nomad just doesn't have the vitality to deal with thorn's guranteed combos, and boomerangs set up nicely to hit a variety of trances and R's (Such as Thorn's) that incapacitate her in the process. If nomad was able to choose from a few different skills to improve such an unwinnable matchup (Granted, this is a 1v1 example, but it definately applies to 3s and such. Think of team synergy that a Herald, Spearmaster, Nomad team would have compared to the notorious Herald, Vanguard, Inhibitor team run by Dignitas) If bloodlines had the ability to change out a few skills, I really don't think it would be a problem, except adding a little versatility to the game. The worst that could happen is that there would be a top tier skill set that everyone would use, and really, that is no different than what we had before. One could argue that more skills = unfair competition, but remember that with the new matchmaking system, a player should only be pitted against a similar-level opponent, so complaining that another player would have an edge based on having a higher selection of skills is moot. This is just how I feel, based upon Stunlock widening the arsenal of skills in the upcoming patch, which I argue, would be a pretty cool maneuver in their development so far.

P.S. If they make the new trait / skill systems micro-transaction based... woe is me.

Too early to voice any opinion on medallions and traits, but I think it's safe to say that the coming patch has the potential to either make or ruin the game (though there isn't really much left to ruin).

Very happy of the overall patch notes, SLS really cares about the game, you cannot deny it.

All the changes look positive and will add more strategy imo.

Will be really interesting to see how traits and medallions will change the game. BLC is a really good game that deserves a bigger playerbase than it has.
