Strong priority such as Azumarill Aqua Jet or Toxicroak Sucker Punch (I'm sure I can think of better sucker punch examples....they're just not coming to mind immediately) also stop it as well. The second team is stopped by any priority taunt (think genies).

They're the right level and Sacred Sword is great because it gets priority. They don't have any super effective STABs but they'll be more useful than vanillite/chubchoo later on.

There are actually a lot of things that stop the first team, namely: anything that outspeeds the ant and OHKOs anything with Aqua Jet, Shadow Sneak, or Sucker Punch Heatran, like you said the point is that if the opponent does not pack one of several specific counters, it's an auto lose. My friend got to #3 on P-O's ladder some time ago with just the ant and chandelure

IM ON TO YOU. there was this one time i booted up my sapphire version for old time's sake my friend wants to play, so i give it to him he ends up landing 40 sheer colds in a row without any accuracy boosts, then finding a shiny linoone once he's run out of pp and pp restoration items'

When people get pissed about them losing because a 90% acc attack missed or because they got critically hit, they blame RNG. You can trade after you do the thing with Fennel I think. I just got the game, FC is 0647-5822-9089 You can also abuse the RNG to capture and breed perfectly IV'd Pokemon with the desired Nature and Ability you want. It's quite commonly used.

Anyways, what do you guys think of Purrloin? It's the first wild Pokmon you meet that isn't a normal type, and having a dark type is useful for the final four. Also, I've been very unsure of how to manage different moves while leveling. I don't want too many moves of the same type on one Pokmon, but whenever a new move is learned, I'm not sure of how to judge moves and know which moves should be kept, replaced, or given up on. Any advice?
