Anyways, what do you guys think of Purrloin? It's the first wild Pokmon you meet that isn't a normal type, and having a dark type is useful for the final four.
You can play the single player any way you like, if you think he's cool use him, if you don't think he's cool don't. If you follow advice from "experts" the game becomes easy mode and boring.
Also, I've been very unsure of how to manage different moves while leveling. I don't want too many moves of the same type on one Pokmon, but whenever a new move is learned, I'm not sure of how to judge moves and know which moves should be kept, replaced, or given up on.
Any advice?
Check if your pokemon is physical or special, if your pokemon is special keep the strongest special moves of your pokemons types, +2 fun/handy moves. The same with physical moves if your pokemon is physical. Try to spread the typing of your moves as much as possible.

You kinda need internet, to look up a lot of values etc. http://serebii.net/games/mechanics.shtml here are a lot of important things explained.
EV's IV's Natures breeding
Those are all for creating the best possible pokemon. Which you need if you want to play competitively on wifi. After you know those basics you should try and come-up with a team. I'm not sure on the rules for wifi battling so I can't help you there. If you read all those and you don't understand ask questions here (of course use search first to see if your questions already have been answered)

I found for the final four having a good dark attack, bug attack, fighter, psychic, +2 of what ever you want made it really really easy as you can exploit weaknesses I used a sword dance Haxorus and then used dragon claw to one shot all of the dark guys pokemon :D! but really play the game how you like it though it can get frustrating at the end having to grind level pokemon because your types all suck against 2 of the E4 (yet again happened to me )
Try having some variation so you don't get stuck on your last pokemon and realize that all the moves are unable to hit
happened to me on my first try of the E4.
GL!!!

I'm jealous of you guys who had Black and White. I'm too hooked on SC2 to play anything else. Awe, I miss the good old days when they had Pokemon Yellow, Red, Blue.

Has anyone tried Blaze Black and Volt White yet?
They're uh.. 'modified' versions of Black/White to make the game more challenging. All the trainers in the game are edited to have better teams and movesets, and all gym leaders have 6 pokemon when you challenge them.
You can also catch up to 606 pokemon in either game, excluding most legendaries from previous gens.

GUYS THE ELECTRIC GYM LEADER HAS AN ELECTRIC/FLYING POKEMON. NOW I CAN'T SWEEP ALL THE POKES WITH ONE MOVE. THIS GAME IS TOO HARD WTFHAX
His "reviews" are usually funny, and this one was funny, because he proved how much of a noob he is.
Also, according to him, you still have a "Special" stat and there are no such thing as natures, physical/special split, etc.

Havent watched zero punctuation in forever. That was pretty funny.

Wow that was pretty funny ^^
thanks

So other than checking every time or knowing every pokemon's colour, how do we determine it is Shiny?

Mmm...so I played a little more and am having fun so far. Team is
Leavanny (Bugz) Samurott (Blotter) Swoobat (DANANANANA) Victini (Nike) Gigalith (Shinystone)
Just beat the flying gym leader and am on the lookout for a better flying type (the normal and water/flying types sucked more than the one I already had) so I don't have to carry around a slave for Fly. Ah well, we'll see.

I was thinking about it, since I <3 Ghost types and fire is already filled...I guess it'd work even though it's kind of a waste of a move on him.
