Steam had to apologize and gave those who pre-purchased BNW a copy of Civ 4 afaik. Doubt BNW is going on sale again.

I think it was the same with Zoroastarianism, only Persia would pick it up and that would never happen because they rarely go religious. Tengriism too for that matter

Thank you for this, having missed the sale on first day and anxiously checking other places I had completely forgotten GMG. Ah I can already see how I'm cursing tomorrow I didn't see this on Friday.

![]() I mean. I threw 6 atom bombs on Sweden because I thought I had won, but the game didn't end when I took Stockholm :/ I even waited a turn. Has the domination VC changed and you now have to actually take everybody else's capital? /confused.

I checked the ingame civilopedia and it doesn't say this. Was this change documented at all? :/

I was complaining about the fact that I had signed a peace treaty in the first place, thinking that after taking London, I was done with her and just had to take Stockholm to win. So I had to wait for the silly treaty to end. @StealthBlue: sea routes are supposed to be better, because they are harder to protect. As for the rest: I'm not sure what the problem is with religious pressure, it seems the same as in G&K. The civs are probably not getting changed, Japan and Germany have been the same since release.

Late game combat was pretty fun. I used a lot more combined arms than I ever have in a game. The AI does okay at assembling naval forces, but at no point did I see a critical mass of enemy ships that could break my attacks (I had three large attack groups that each had a ton of air support). Autocracy kinda blows. The 2nd tier tenets are awesome, but the third tier tenets are all forgettable except to the 50-turn attack bonus. The science pace is really slow compared to G&K. Having Venice and Austria in the same game is super lame. The religion spread mechanics seem off. Submarines are too good.

Portugal is very weak, the UU and UA are half ass at best. Religious pressure seems borked. When is the patch coming? Yeah. What the hell is wrong with the AI when it comes to trading? I can offer 5 things, while requesting 1, and they still tell me no. I don't get that at all.
