I play randomly around 9 p.m.-11 p.m. Pacific usually
@South- Haha I remember the Warwick incident too, the ward only showed him, and all of a sudden 3 of them showed up and your Crystal Arrow shot just when wick jumped you, bad luck :D
Yea, and I still hate playing with Mordes. 99% of the time they just spam their abilities to get their shield up, but that means no last hits, which means the lane becomes poor as hell. What I wouldn't give for a good Alistar player.
|
Yeah I was in the brush too, I was flabbergasted when he jumped me as I fired. Just a big WHAT! moment as I fired and got Duress'd. That was a sad, sad death. I'm fairly certain I even had Teleport up, so I coulda gotten away if I'd not underestimated the Warwick player's brain
Turkey usually plays Alist but he didn't feel like tanking without our Blitz-who-disappeared. Unfortunately neither Exstichi or I can tank, so we were just like mweh lets hope for a meatshield.
|
sigh... guess I'll be amumu tanking when I play with yall :p
playing a tank for a couple games is fun, but it sucks when you're the only person on a team who will tank.
|
If Baikin is on we'll have a Blitz and an Alist, which is pretty much enough tanking. And if we have enough ranged players I trust then I can run Blitz + Jungle Udyr instead, if we don't have an Alist, etc.
Fairly flexible.
But when Baikin is gone and Turkey doesn't wanna Alist all bets are off for the premades I usually play with, hah.
|
Yea, in good premades, I think I have a fairly flexible lineup of champions I'm confident in (Pantheon, Amumu, Nidalee, Sivir), I just hate how sometimes I'm forced to go balls to the walls tanking Amumu with the team layout.
For instance... Last night I was in a premade with 2 guys I knew and 2 I didn't and by the time I got back from getting a drink the team was TF, Fiddle (with smite, so intending to jungle), Tryndamere, and Gangplank... which completely sucks cause that locks me into not only playing amumu, but also not being able to play him the way I want (jungling after first b). On top of that, I apparently just missed on re-specing my masteries and ended up with the super exciting 0/0/0 mastery spec, and then somehow ended up in the 1v2 lane T_T. So yea, you'd think we'd get ass raped, but TF's a pretty good champion and I knew that dude and he's good, so he went 12/0/12 with me putting up a typical 5/7/22 amumu game and we completely rolled them in the mid-late game.
but yea, back to my point, I wanted to play nidalee, but I hate having teams with no one who can initiate and soak massive amounts of damage, so I was forced to play amumu or deal with a team composition I hate.
|
I used to try to be flexible, but I grew angry at being forced to tank, and then having people whine about me sucking at something I didn't even want to do and I know I suck at it to begin with, so I just stopped caring about trying to fill certain roles. At this point my flexibility ranges from "jungling" to "hit them with magic or physical, which you want?" hahah.
|
haha, yea... I think I'm alright at tanking though, so I don't really mind needing to do it from time to time. It's just the needing to do it thing that bugs me.
|
In my case, it's always "why are you so bad?" "why are you making me tank?" And if neither Turkey nor Baikin want to tank, and I end up picking a tank, it's always "AS MANY ASSISTS AS DEATHS PLEASE LETS GO!"
Yeah, it's that bad.

If I don't double up my deaths in assists with Amumu, I feel like a failure (unless I get like 1:1 K:D :p)
in other news, AP sivir is getting borderline trendy... I ran into a couple yesterday and her boomerangs are pretty scary from the almost 2:1 AP ratio off of a double hit. That being said, the build sucks horrible ass, but it seems good vs. players who can't dodge boomerang for their life (literally).

So far I've played 32 games with Alistar, going 18-2 in my last 20 games. I really love tanking, while still being able to destroy turrets very rapidly.
I'd love to find a team to play with, but this thread is not very helpful since there is no distinction between Europe and US players (I'm a EU player). Maybe there could be a seperate thread for EU players?

LOL! I just realized, Brutalizer gives ability cooldown!

The majority of my tanking games end in something disastrous, like 1:8:0.

On AP Sivir: ricochet hits deal magic damage, but are they affected by AP? I've no idea since I've never once used AP with her.

No.

Hey, I have a question so I c have been playing ranged DPS'ers for about 600 games now believe it or not :p So, I recently got the urge to master an AP champ. Thing is, I got a page full of AP scaling runes and idk what champion it's best to play to utilize these runes. Keep in mind, at lvl 18 I am getting about 80 AP. So, could anyone recommend me a champ?
|
Annie and Anivia are among the highest tier AP nukers. I think Magic Penetration runes for your red runes are more effective for damage.
Speaking of AP nukers, I just got raped by a team of Annie, Fiddles, Nunu, Sion, and Ryze. It wasn't pretty.

I can play Soraka, Jax pretty well Used to main kat but she got nerfed up the ass Only tank I can 'play' is Rammus.
I can also play a passable Corki, Nidalee, Kassadin.

wow wtf whats wrong with queue right now ?

anybody got any tips/build for playing twisted fate?
I played a game with a good twisted on my team and now I feel the urge to learn how to play him. I know he's one of the harder heroes to learn, especially with getting gold cards, but I'm willing to put in as many practice games as necessary.

If only we didn't have the feediest Mord in history in my lane, we mighta done something. -_-
Anyone with Trist exp, I was going for Crit/Dmg for her, so ummmm I went
(teleport/clarity) boots + 3 hp avarice blade boots of swiftness soul shroud infinity edge zeal black cleaver phantom dancer replace avarice with atma's
Does that seem okay? Shroud gets me a little bit of hp early, and with Clarity as I always prefer I can sneak no mana regen items easy.
I go with ignite / teleport as Trist. Ignite is fairly useless late game I guess, but it pretty much guarantees at least a kill at the start since buster + explosive + ignite = well over 600 damage.
As for crit / damage, I think the build I use covers crit and damage pretty nicely.
I've been experimenting with two different ones but the one I'm using atm..
Vampiric Scepter - I start out with this build if I expect to lane against someone who might be able to harrass me more than a couple health pots might heal. Vampiric pretty much lets you stay in your lane as long as you want until you wanna port back and buy stuff.
Berserker's Greaves - Some movement speed and a little attack speed boost to help with farming. Sometimes you might wanna go merc treads if you're having problems with stuns or magic or whatever.
BF Sword - Start building towards your infinity asap. Some builds go phage and mallet first, but I think Trists really do need those early game damage items to be more effective.
Finish infinity edge.
Zeal -> Phantom Dancer - some attack speed, crit chance, dodge, movement, good all around item. Crit chance should be around 50-60% I believe at this point.
As for the next item, it really depends what you need. If you need some survivability, you can go banshee's veil, as the passive is pretty useful. You should change to merc treads as well cause it'll help you survive against stuns and slows.
You can upgrade the vampiric into an exec's calling for like 900 gold; it'll give you 18% lifesteal and some critical chance as well, boosting your crit to around 65-80%. (You can get it near the cap if you consume a green pot)
If you don't need the survivability from veil or exec's you can go straight for damage items like black cleaver or bloodthirster. Even before getting these, Trist should be outputting quite a ton of damage, and most games usually don't get this far.
I'm not a high-elo player or anything (atm, I'm level 19), but this build has worked very well ever since I started using Trist around level 7 or something.
Oh, and make sure to grab the lizard buff. Gives your attacks a damage boost and gives a nice slowing effect that can help you get a few kills. I generally get it after I get my bf sword.
And armor penetration for all your red and quint runes as well.
