the game is great, but there's more potential for it, i think runic is realising that now, just a lil touch up on end game content and multiplayer feature and a lil improvement on overall gameplay experiences (skills, item, scope of the game). this might be a big hit. I agree with this....mind you, the over powering sensation of "this takes Diablo clone to a whole new level" (yea yea i know a bunch of those guys made diablo) got to me after a bit. Even the music was Tristram-like.
I remember reading the guy who composed the music for D2 used samples from the Tristram theme, something like that.

The music seems nice. At 0:26 guy pretty clearly says "inevible" which is not a word. Seems kind of illiterate.

I loved diablo 2, so naturally I loved this game, especially the music.
I am not finished, about level 14 on a warrior and a mage.. but the story could really use some love. Its not as immersive as I'd hoped.

Torchlight is a great game, but releasing Torchlight 2 in the same year as diablo 3.... Not sure how well it'll do

Is Diablo 3 guaranteed for 2011... Anyways Torchlight already has a niche market and fanbase.

Torchlight 2 is already comming Q1-Q2 2011, so Diablo 3 will for sure not to be a problem, however so many awesome games comming in that time that will take some attention away for Torchlight 2.

Why did I think this article was about "Fleshlight" 's ?

I liked torchlight but I thought the combat system was a bit broken (venomous dirks and ice elementals for example) and relied too much on mods to make it decent. If they fix the flaws in the combat system I would buy Torchlight 2 (hell, id buy it already probably)

Torchlight coming to Xbox Live Arcade holy fuck
|
I really enjoyed Torchlight, but I missed the multiplayer-part of the game so bad. That's the reason I'm really looking for the second part of this series.
|
Torchlight is now on XBLA Hopefully it does well and TL2 will port to the 360 as well as co-op would be amazing on the console me thinks.

Just bought Torchlight on XBLA and my only gripe with it is the inventory UI. Kind of clunky and annoying to navigate.
Other than that I love this game, can't wait for Torchlight 2!

Depends on the success and popularity of the 360 version on XBLA.

I started a new vanquisher on "Very hard", and it was remarkably easy. I mean sure, you have to micro away from the mobs but as long as they don't hit you you're golden. After I got a gold pistol, everything seemed to die faster and it just became a bit dull. Are there any mods that ramp the difficulty a bit and add more strategy?

I had the same gripe about very hard, until I got to levels 25+ and couldn't beat it without grinding out a bunch of gear. I would keep playing, see if you can beat it first.

i was fond of playing TL at the beginning, but when i started playing the 2nd part of the story (where you enter the catacombs), the game tends to repeat itself. kinda boring for my opinion. i hope TL2 won't be as repetitive as the previous game
