At least in a game like D3 or SC2 there is a risk of getting caught and your account getting banned etc
This is just a practice ground for Runic. They eventually plan to release an MMO out of this.

if hacking you mean having OP items and boosted stats, then no your account wont get banned. The game was designed so the community can add their own content to the game, be it super overpowered weapons, new dungeons, or even just reskins of items/characters.

thought about trying it out, but if shit like this is possible, there is no point in playing the game for me.
i need titan quest 2 to come out - or cheatfree titan quest 1 would do the job i guess^^

So Im thinking about getting this game since im banned in D3/SC2 but I have some internet connection problems, cant download much and play online, so is there offline mod and how much do I have to download from stream to start playing it ? I know you guys know answers to any crazy question and Im thankful for that : )
|
You'll have to download the entire game from Steam. The files total 1678MB on the disk, no idea how much of that was compressed or what the actual total download was, but that's pretty small so that was probably it. There is a single-player offline mode, a LAN option, and of course the online multiplayer.

This game is, not surprisingly, mostly dead. For one, there hasn't been an news update in over 2 months. Secondly, there's between 0 and 1 games for higher difficulties. At higher levels, it becomes like an FPS: most monsters get 1-shotted, and most monsters 1-shot you. Thirdly, the player population (~5000 according to Steam) is extremely small. Games on B.net 1 have more players.
Wasn't this game suppose to kill D3? D3, despite it being a really bad game, gets frequent updates, attention, new systems for endgame, and survives Jay Wilson. TL2 gets... well, random side-dungeons for leveling-up.
In addition, people don't seem to care about this game. For example, this thread is also mostly dead.

What killed this game is allowing modding to go off the charts. You can basically get all top gear by simply downloading them. They should have done something like open and close battle.net for Diablo 2, so if you want to be competitive or just casual and mess around with the game you can still do so. At the moment it really is just "open battle.net", which is terrible for such a game.
It is a real shame because I played TL2 non-stop for 2 months and was enjoying it very much.

You can still remove the tag with a simple program.

i don't really care if a lot of people play the multiplayer or not. beating tl2 and then beating it again on ng+ with 1-2 friends(any more then 3 people, all you see is spell animations in fights) with a couple characters is much more fun then diablo 3. Although there is no end game because they made the servers open.

Why? Don't want to play with cheaters? Don't play with cheaters. Or do you have some sort of obsession to go into random people's games to wave your epeen around?
I start playing, shit blows up, and I'm quite satisfied with my purchase.

This game is not designed to kill D3 lol. It's easy to tell. It's just a testing ground for the developers while they develop an MMO out of this franchise.

No. The problem is the complete opposite. The problem is that the real modding tools still aren't out.
|
Official modding tools are coming out soon! I would suggest trying out the Synergies mod, they've put quite a bit of effort into that despite not having an official editor to work with yet.
We're also releasing new free content shortly :D
|
So using the Synergies mod won't get all my characters tagged as a cheater? I honestly have no clue. I want to try it though.
|
While I did play the shit out of this game, I probably won't reinstall just for the mods. It's a bit too late. :/ was kinda excited to check them out too.
|
Make a backup of your characters before you use Synergies with them. In the future there'll be a separate save folder for modded saves.
|
Can't wait for mods. I enjoyed this game so incredibly much, but unfortunately it became somewhat of a faceroll around lvl 50+. Will probably try out modding a bit myself as well!
