Just a question tho: Could you view a tournament as a practice enviroment and/or a measuring stick? It's not a suggestion (?), but more a question. I've never played in any major tournaments ever, so it's out of pure curiosity I am asking.

If he wins IEM NY: Roughly an 80% chance of having enough points to qualify; If he comes second: Roughly a 37% chance of having enough points to qualify; If he gets to the semis: Roughly a 15% chance of having enough points to qualify; If he gets to the quarters: Roughly a 4% chance of having enough points to qualify; If he goes out in the group stages then the chance of having enough points will be less than 1% :/ GoGo Naniwa win!

If this is true, it's pretty depressing! I thought the odds for him were alot better for being 1st-4th in IEM. =/ Winning was in my head 100% safe. Guess my head is wrong then, gotta go get it checked for quality insurance.

I might be completley out fishing now, but arent those % numbers completley dependant on how the other players perform? i mean he is #12 now. even if he "only" goes to the semis, there should be a chance that some of those other 12 players, or those close behind him completley screw up at their respective event?

If I remember that thread properly, the guy who did the predictions used aligulac predictions, so things like that are taken into account (as far as is feasibly possible)

Going to try not to annoy anyone with this blog post for once! Seems like I always say the wrong things! ![]() Lately I've been playing a lot and hitting the gym regularly now for about 2-3 months. It's always great when you find your rhythm when it comes to practise and see results ![]() Lately I've been in a little slump in terms of motivation but I guess that was pretty obvious for people who follow me that it's made me more frustrated that you don't want to play but have to because in the end, it's actually my "job". If I don't do well I don't get paid and I get disappointed in myself. But recently I've come to the conclusion that I at least have to play SC2 until the end of the year when my contract expires and do as well as I can. After 2013 SC2 will hopefully be in a better spot. You just don't know right now. There are a lot of unanswered questions regarding what Blizzard are going to do to help the scene after the season 3 finals. No matter what I have no big regrets in starcraft at all. I did my best and achieved most of what I wanted to achieve. Beat all the great players in their respective eras like Nestea/Mvp in WoL and Innovation recently in HotS Sounds like bragging when I write it but, I'm just a guy who takes incredible pride in what I do and that means I devote all my time and soul to what I do. I'm just very happy that I put in the time and effort that I have and didn't approach it half-heartedly like I did WC3. I've been in Korea for approx. 2 years back and forth with very few people to talk to down there so I suppose that this has also made me even more asocial than I was before ![]() Feels a little sad when I write this, almost like it's a goodbye, but don't worry ![]() ![]() Enough about that, time for practise and making sure to do as well as possible this year!
