MC became mortal because of the tournament formats. For GSL he gets time to practice against one player for more than 7 days or so. Also consider the format in GSL where you can "dodge" many of the top players (you choose your groups and so on before each season). Remember, he got knocked out in Ro32 by Polt - then started going to all these other tournaments because now he had time to...
If you've watched all seasons of GSL you know MC was Ok player, got good, then back to Ok. He was never immortal.

My bad then, Sorry

(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ Why must you deny us the chance to see idra stomp at assembly EG. In all seriousness though i could see why EG wants idra in top shape, he is there star player after all.
As much as I love Idra and as good as he is in all levels (skill, titles, fanbase ect...) the star player of EG is now Puma. If you agree on this or not it doesn't change the fact that if idra wanted to go to assembly then they should have sent him. He would have had a great shot at winning it which would have done well to both EG and Idra himself.

As Xtfftc said, he have been going to too many tournaments, instead of getting real good practice. He havent really showed that amazing play recently :/ Maybe I just have too high expectations

it doesnt matter whether you have time to go or not. Simply going cuts into practice time and that is detrimental.

I'm still sure he would place high unless he'd get screwed with groups and brackets.

Yeah, I'm sure he would have placed high, but behind the likes of Nada and Sen. lol, I'm such a pessimist :3
|
Well 3rd place is still pretty good lol. And maybe he'd get a dream match vs Nada because there are speculations that Nada threw the match vs IdrA in GSL to avoid Jinro.

In the foreign tournaments he lost to top level Korean TvP and HuK / Naniwa in PvP's, not all that big a deal.
Calling him an "Ok" player is ridiculous. The GSL format doesn't exactly favor him, it helps lesser players if anything, for working out snipe builds to take out better players. He's still the most solid Toss in the world.

am i the only one noticing idra's mechanics being noticabely slower every time he's streaming ?

Slower?
He doesn't have the same refinement he had months ago, obviously, but I still notice the same speed and mouse precision when I watch him.

I think Idra decides him self where to go and what not. If you would even read the posts on the page you are on, you would see that Idra himself says EG decides whether to send him to tournaments he's invited to True but it also has to be considered that players tend to want to play for every possible competition. I'm not talking about SC here, I'm talking in general - professional players know that they need some rest every now and then but still wouldn't do it unless the managers and coaches force them. I think that what Idra meant was that he is willing to go to every tournament but it's EG's decision whether they are going to pay for his trip. Scoots was talking about this a month or two ago on Lo3. And yeah, I'm definitely hoping that EG consider that all the traveling is not benefiting their players and the team's overall performance. Even Incontrol said that the whole team was feeling very tired during at Anaheim.

He seems slower than yesterday, but these might be his first games today so...
lol @ that graph. added it to my tl.net profile

That was a sick hold. I was pretty sure it was over.

CombatEX says he'll snipe IdrA, so ya don't be surprised if he gets proxy gated on a 4player map without scouting.
edit; IdrA should stream cheat on CombatEZ
