Since he came second in his group, he will need to win six more sets to win the tournament. MKP almost lost. I can't imagine someone losing, with all the math and numbers behind them. Idra was behind before the games even started, and almost won. It almost happened. The only reason it didn't was because, like you said, he made that mistake towards the end. What if MKP didn't have the numbers though... What if Terran needed to make the same amount of workers as Zerg or Protoss and what if Terran needed to spend more than 5000 gas in one game? I can't see that going in MKP's favor as well as it did for Idra. User was temp banned for this post. | ||

True, i also think MKP was never in THAT bad of a position as it was made to be. Its always more exciting to play it out as a massive comeback then a slight advantage to idra in the midgame. :/ still will be rooting for both Idra and MKP to meet again in the finals hopefully | ||

Its always more exciting to play it out as a massive comeback then a slight advantage to idra in the midgame. :/ still will be rooting for both Idra and MKP to meet again in the finals hopefully Yeah, day9 and husky made it look like Idra was in a huge advantage wich was not true. mkp was just pumping out marines from +/- 10 rax. wich he could have keep doing the whole game with just waves of 4 mules at a time...no scv's needed...lol But he relied on those marines because of upgrades...and for zerg to fall down on upgrades is a huge handicap...either you have a really good economy to nulify the upgrades from your opponents or you catch up on upgrades...idra did none of those....he went 4 base against 3 base and he had at least a 4-5 minutes window to expand safely to outside the natural at 12o'clock. he was floating in excessive minerals...plus he never made the spine wall..nowadays that's essential in every zerg game....buy time for reinforcments and tech up...period. | ||

Game 2, MK played sloppy, overflowing in gas count and simply lost. Game 3, IdrA was doing well but during the last battle, he got too stubborn with his mutas and lost to 3-3 marines. | ||

i think in some way the lower marine count ( instead of like the 10 mkp had he could had like 40 or even more marines with minerals below 500 ) kind of sucked idra into the bad engament. if there would be like 50 marines he goes back plays defensive until he has a new round of ling / baneling and crushes him becouse of no tanks i think | ||
