Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
No reposting of old material unless justified
Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.
Edit: Oh I had gross assumptions that Psy spoiler was in fact the live performance. Not the MV. But I think it deserves to be posted unspoilered with the thread moving this fast lately.
Agreed, missed it to.
And that MV is so good, i didnt know what kind of kind of music psy made (until a few days ago). I only knew psy from the heroes ep he was in (they had to interview him) and there he was so serieus, and then he makes this style of music, thats just hilarious.
Also hyuna looking good, but psy beats her with his dance moves
@people who get photobooks. is it worth it? do you find yourself flipping through it once or twice then putting it down for eternity? or do you look through it a lot for the first couple weeks? or is it more like a photo album, you take it out occasionally in the future and reminisce on the old days.

I don't have much confidence in my taste, but for what it's worth, here are some of my favorites~ Obviously my favorites are mostly from my favorite artists (and are generally really recent :/) even though I do like several groups.
IU - Rain Drop IU - Lost Child
Younha - People Younha - Run (also like Houki Boshi but that's Japanese ;P)
After School - Bang! After School Red - In the Night Sky
Younha - Hero, Password486, Memory, Te wo Tsunaide (japanese) like any of those?
I've heard Te wo Tsunaide (really like that one), but hadn't heard Password 486, Hero, or Memory. Really liked Memory, Tablo OP. Hero and Password 486 do sound pretty nice and as you may have figured, I am quite fond of nice instrumental intros sometimes. Supercell's Hero (and a lot of supercell songs in general) has a kickass intro for instance, but that's Japanese music. Thanks again~
That Handsome People song is really catchy and I think the chick in the thumbnail is really hot.
And that PSY MV is too godlike. When I heard the song I wasn't that impressed because I felt like I had heard the beat before a million times, so I wanted to wait for the MV and see if PSY's swagger would make me like it more. It did. And then there as a sexy orange-haired cherry on top. And that little kid dancing was great too!

I can only tell you that i bought alot of similar stuff from japan a couple of years back. And now it's all packed in my basement as i'm not really interested in that stuff anymore. It's a moneysink.

I'd imagine it's like collectors edition for games. You look through it while installing takes place and then it kinda just takes space. Can be fun to have if it's like your #1 group I imagine but probably not worth sinking too much cash into.
I'd say it's just a moneysink too--I know several people who buy shitloads Japanese merchandise (iirc lilsusie does too). I think it's harder to sink as much money into kpop merchandise because the Japanese have so many types and many more sources of merch, but in general it's still a moneysink albeit a significantly smaller one, so feel free to buy stuff for groups you like/support imho.

Agreed, definitely. Seeing both the Little Shindong kid from Star King & Yoo Jae Suk in that yellow tracksuit doing his signature grasshopper style made it even more entertaining. The dance at the end is epic in a way that only Psy can make it so.
I finally caved and gave Loving U a listen because it seemed to be universally liked.
At first it didn't seem particularly great. But already on the second listen, it sounded really catchy. It grew on me pretty quickly. Listening to Holiday, I also thought it was pretty nice it was one of the few songs in which a random male rapper could be excused. Wow super surprised at how much I like this album.
Also surprised by the remixes. Maybe it's because I enjoy listening to electronica but the remixes in this album weren't that bad for once (though there have been a lot of terrible trancey/electronica remixes)

It's most likely not actually worh it and it'll probably be a mix between your first and third scenario. But if you like having a bit of a physical collection, support the artist, feel the need to express your appreciation and don't go overboard with it I'd say it's pretty cool to buy some stuff.

Psy delivering once again. Fucking love the kid at the start of the video. Hwang Min-woo.

For some time now I've been confused about what people meant with the word swag. Now I know. This mv is 50 kinds of awesome smashed together, especially Yoo Jae Suk in pimp version.
Also I neglected to keep up with this thread for a few days and came back to see 60 new pages. Who knows what awesome I've missed.
