I enjoyed TWGOK a lot but I'd never say it's good unlike monogatari.

I only remember some things about it like + Show Spoiler + mech suits, the protagonist fighting against his brother and how he would lose part of his memories everytime he used some power up Has someone seen this anime and can tell me if it's any good? I might check it out for nostalgia

Like SOOOOOOO good. Also did you watch Aura movie? So much HanaKana. You need to hear Ai no Hoshi live. SOOOOOOO godly and beautiful. Unbelievable levels of perfection. Recording is nowhere close. In other Nana news, I don't like Kakumei Dualism. Audio quality was really bad but radio rip normally is so =/

I just listed stuff that finished. I didnt like the goddess arc in twgok which was why I didn't rec. Railgun finished this week anyways. I suppose if he's seen past monogatari (and liked it), then the currently airing would be a must watch.

Basically same thing here, though I had listened a lot to the Nanoha related songs before. Also, my ears came in ep 12 of G when + Show Spoiler + she used s1 gear and suddenly zettou ameno habakiri. I love that song.

wat? + Show Spoiler + No, I don't mean it in a "what the hell is this crap" way, I mean it in a "wat wat" way. After the blood crushed the ceiling I had no idea what happened. I was trying to figure out that mini-game with the ships, but then I've ot another mini game, where Kiritsigu had to choose if he wants to keep 1 or 2 loved ones out of the 3(yeah, that can't be right btw), then he kills everyone, because... and then they die, but they didn't, and the dead guy who lived won the grail war, without a grail, but a wish he didn't even know about got granted, but it didn't really got granted, so he wants to win another war, meanwhile the guy who probably died, but now he lives (like alive-lives, not undead-lives as Kirei) didn't won the war, but he found a boy instead, and he's very happy, because he had probably just enough women in his life, and... Well, the only conclusion I understood was the Sakura one. And umm... so there's two other Fate animes out there, but I should avoid them, right? S/N seems to be really unpopular, and I don't know much about the third one.

If you watched it as a stand alone some things won't make sense. If you want answers read the F/SN visual novel. The anime adaptations are really mediocre but there is a new one being made by the same studio that made F/Z You can also search anything in the type moon wiki if reading a really long VN isn't your thing

I think it was Kaze who said that like a month ago? Not sure if it was really him though but still not delivered or I missed it somehow! Don't turn this into another papa johns pizza debacle! Think this was directed at Ragz? I faintly remember this couple weeks back. I too, also await his list.. On September 30 2013 00:14 Nopeudon wrote: Newbie here, with newbie questions. I've lost interest in anime this past year or so but have been slowly picking it back up again. The last one I watched was Hataraku Maou-sans some two seasons ago (which was great heheh) and because of work related issues I've missed the whole of the last season. I'd be very grateful if someone could point out some of the better titles I've missed. I don't really like mainstream shounen action, some ecchi is fine, etc (on that note I don't really get the hype around Shingeki no Kyoujin- though to be fair I've only had the chance to watch a single episode so far...) Thanks you so much TLers! ![]() From summer(last) season. Must-watches would be: Love Lab, Servant x Service. Other notable shows: Uchouten Kazoku, TWGOK S3.

S/N seems to be really unpopular, and I don't know much about the third one. + Show Spoiler [F/Z] + The ship thing is explaining Kiritsugu's philosophy. The example given explains that in order to save some people, sacrifices must be made, and Kiritsugu is willing to make that sacrifice time after time. Kiritsugu's childish wish is essentially to save the world. And the grail is willing to grant his wish - by destroying humanity. He's basically having his own philosophy thrown back in his face. So Kiritsugu realizes how twisted a thing the grail really is, and shows his rejection of it (and by extension, his beliefs) by killing his imaginary family. Kotomine got an incomplete wish because he touched the unfinished grail. Various things happen because of this. Kiritsugu didn't die at any point. Not sure where you got that from. He finds Shirou, which is a tie-in to F/SN. http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=Fate/Zero:Act_16_Part_8 Go read. Edit: The F/SN anime is a mediocre to bad VN adaptation, and UBW is a movie which a) won't make sense without F/SN, and b) is rather pointless because they cut out the meat of the story.

S/N seems to be really unpopular, and I don't know much about the third one. + Show Spoiler + The ship thing and loved ones are both related to Kiritsugu's method of achieving peace, which is a greater good few-for-the-many mentality. It's all an illusion shown to him by the Grail, including the loved ones thing. What you have to take away from it is that Kiritsugu chooses the many every single time, even when it comes to choosing between the faceless masses of the world over his own family and he'll hate himself forever afterward. Or something along those lines, maybe I missed something - I haven't read the LN in a few years. The rest basically gets into technicalities about the Grail War itself and I'd rather avoid spoiling that for you. Play the Fate/stay night visual novel!

He has been shot in the heart, and he says himself that he can't feel his heart beating. Thanks, I might give it a try, though I'm not familiar with VNs. I tried Clannad, but since I did it after finishing the anime(s), I couldn't get through the early stages.
