mushishi is indeed a masterpiece. I used to sing that 10 thousand miles song for an ex, and since it always reminds of my sad story, i can only give it a 9/10. and will probably never watch it again, ever.

Nah. Mushishi is the best anime ever but I wouldn't have anyone (or myself) jerk off to it. It's not the kind of fanservice anime you're used to, Tabbris. Don't be confused.
I would bust a nut if he gave same piss poor reasonings for dropping it as you did, though.
I dropped Mushishi? Wow I didnt even know. Tell me more things I didnt even know I did?

Any other anime currently airing that might be good to pick up?
You can try Suisei no Gargantia and Hataraku Maou-sama!, I have been enjoying the first one more then the second one tho.
I've watched the first episode of Suisei Gargantia but I've put it on hold because it seemed to light-hearted (the first scenes : humans get defeated... the second scence, we see teenagers jerking around....) Does it get better after episode 1?

The second and third episode are better imo, but the series overall does feel calm and light-hearted(which is a bit suspicious because of Urobuchi one of the ppl in charge), it did had some action in those two episodes.

I actually said that I thought the universe could have been interesting, but sadly, it was all girls x 1 boy, which is actually pretty boring
