Apparently that was Yuuhi, according to the director, and not Ikaruga.
This makes me happy - was actually just wondering about that this morning when I finally made the connection in my head between + Show Spoiler +
seeing the Takemikazuchi in TE and the part from MLA where Yuuhi mentioned having piloted it back during the initial fighting. Also happy I can finally discuss TE - looks like most of the stuff I wanted to say has already been mentioned, so just adding: I felt they really did a great job duplicating the emotions associated with the naval support a la the Sadogashima retreat in MLA, given how they've only had 2 episodes to work with. Too bad we didn't get to see Heavy Laser class or Fort class in combat (lol roadblock). Speaking of which, Takeru's 20+ Fort-kill streak is even more impressive now.
Not a huge Kuroko fan but honestly, teleport is just so awesome, lol.
I wish I had a solid (as in linkeable) source on it being Yuuhi, I wrote that it was her somewhere else and I'm not a fan of not having solid, presenteable proof Q.Q.
Japanese twitter. Maybe if you ask on /m/ or /a/ someone could link you?
Even without it, things seem to lend it to being Yuuhi. It was a 00R, they had Yuuhi in the anime at that part, and we know she fought there. So the would be whether its blue or purple. And if SRW: OGIN taught me anything, things being dark can make it really hard to tell apart dark colors when things are dark.
Example:
The Type-3 in that video is actually black, but since its night/the mech is dark/lighting, it looks blueish.

Yeah, I actually had to google who Ikaruga was (only shows up in MLA as unnamed badass at Sadogashima, maybe he's mentioned during Extra or I've missed something, but meh), makes more sense that it was someone who was actually known. That said, I wonder if it's the same one that Meyia receives :o
Useless details ftw.
Oh, and if it's Japanese twitter I'll just say "Japanese twitter" to whoever asks for a source, I'm too lazy, lol. Thanks though.

For S;G, I watched the anime first, VN second, and I loved it. The anime followed the VN very closely, but since the VN can convey so much more detail, I still enjoyed it. Liked the @channel portions, particularly Kurisu's forum posts and texts. Watched the anime again afterwards and various parts made more sense.
Clannad though, VN first anime second and I had trouble going back to the VN due to the graphics. Or at least that was my excuse at the time; I might have been feeling burnt out from Clannad/VN overload having just watched through the anime twice and reading FSN. Maybe I should go back and try again sometime.
Enjoy Zouken's creepiness
Totally random, but just remembered, Yuuko's voice actor actually sounds so different from in the VNs O_o + Show Spoiler +

I didn't even know there were other survivors in Yui's squad beside her. Only thing I didn't like about the episode was when she was walking up to that girl that got torn in half. I was pretty pissed/confused at why all those BETA's didn't just jump her instantly. She was basically right next to them.
Other than that, the episode was enjoyable, especially for a prologue. Although, if it wasn't for Sent and others just constantly giving background info on it, I'm not sure how I would've felt after watching those two ep.

If that's you're situation then yes, it's worth it. Animation is pretty and interesting thriller-type story.
Don't complain if you don't like it until after you've seen the first seven or eight eps though iirc. Also remember, suspension of disbelief. Because of the subject matter and the way it's presented, it's bound to have plot holes. Just enjoy it
I went out of my comfort zone for a while, and two mangas I can recommend are: Sankarea and Mysterious Girlfriend X. Both of which have an anime as well, though not sure how good those are.
Another anime I'd recommend is Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt. Yes, that title sounds incredibly strange, but... the art style is nice and it goes for a comedic route. What I like about the anime is that it really shows what can happen when the creator says "fuck it, I'm going to just put down whatever comes to mind and do that. To hell with any form of reasoning or logic".
I finally made one of these recently, doing it mostly from memory. Based on that list it probably seems like my interests are all over the place (some of this stuff I watched like 15 years ago), but anyway, does anyone have any suggestions? I've been harassing my friends for things to watch but I think I've exhausted that resource, and I'm pretty bored. -_-

One Piece. You like Fairy Tail, apparently liked Bleach/Naruto (to each his own, I guess), and One Piece is considered by almost everyone who has watched/read them all to be better than the other 3.

I was pretty nice with most of my ratings haha, I kinda just put whatever. I'll check it out. 555 episodes is daunting, however.

It takes courage to undertake such a daunting task, one which I do not possess.

I give everything 10's. Except for one cruel cruel anime that made me want to punch my eyes out. Besides that though how can i give anything lower than a 10 i love anime :D

One Piece is by far the best anime ever made.
There's a reason why it's so popular in Japan and overseas. It may be a bit slow at the start, but it picks up really fast and oh man once you get past ep 200ish, you'll fall in love with it.
It's a really, really good anime that improves every ep - and contrary to popular belief, there aren't many fillers.

I've considered picking it up before, but it always came back to "well I could watch this, or I could watch 10-20 other things." In any case, I'm on episode 2. I'll post when I hit 100 (this may be in 2 days).

Yup got the same feeling. I was watching on Veoh(downloading 10 episode a day before i go to school and came back to watch) before it got licensed. An excellent anime.
One Piece is better than the other 3(FT,Bleach,Naruto).
