I'm thinking Mikage will continue his hack powers and pull the Shadow mech out of his magical pocket of flowers.
Corrosion power seems pretty inferior to that other guy's power of instability. I mean rust is oxidation of metal which is basically making it more unstable but being limited to metals lol. Well, it works slightly different but I don't see why you would choose rust over complete breakdown of materials unless there're some more subtle differences that aren't stated.

Just finished Chihayafuru. I was a bit disappointed with the final couple of episodes (season two pls?), but overall I thought it was great. I highly recommend it.

macross frontier. Definitely one of the best eye candy anime. It had one of the biggest budget too
both the series and movies have enormous budget, obviously movie had more $$ investments but it lacks the character developments from a 26ep series.
