Do you know if the manga is following the same storyline as the anime?

They have been doing good with the pacing though with Zoldyck Family arc which i felt dragged on in old version Oping was a total troll. Expecting a new one and to see it start like the old one i was a little sad. Then 5 seconds later hear the other part of the opening song xp I didn't expect much from this remake since I knew it wasn't going to be dark as the first one but so far they are been doing greatm, I just hope it wont stop like the manga.. Don't know for sure but, I read in a comment section ( on MAL or something) that the manga starts out differently. I do know that there are alot more characters introduced in the manga even in the first part which the anime covers. edit: a real pity since I really liked the anime :/

I dont know how the anime ends, but it certainly goes wayyyy past everything that goes on within the prison itself in the manga. Again I cant point out differences either for the same reason. Its okish, lots of flashy stuff. but the story wont blow you away or anything. Its pretty short though and wont go on very long probably. Oh and boring MC but the supporting cast is pretty ok.

Manga is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY better. very much so I dropped Deadman Wonderland anime so fast, it fell into the same pittrap that Zetman did of the dreaded "compressed anime adaption removes all power the plot has" also EVOL 16 was so damn good.

Well Zetman is a a bit different. From the first episode onward you can tell that all they did was take the characters and what they can do, most of the major plot points are going to be completely changed. Dont think they did that so much with Deadman right of the bat.

T_T Well i did not want to write it off for not being as dark as the 1999 since the that version is even darker then manga. I am more concerned about it having cheesy over acting that you end up seeing in a lot of shonen genre. Will just ruin the characters if they do that. One of the reasons i cant wait for yorksin as that will make or break this series for me. But they have not really messed anything up to this point so i have high hopes.

+ Show Spoiler + That was a good episode. Nagisama: You asked on IRC if those were scenes from the first Aquarion earlier. Yep, it was. Apollo and Silvia, Fudo Gen, and Touma. The preview for the next episode had Aquarion fighting a Shadow Angel mech (they were the villains in original). Curious as to how that will play out, since they all died. I'm also amused by the fujoshi having the power of corrosion, to make things rot away. lol

I liked the anime for what it was, the story was good. Except for the sudden switch where+ Show Spoiler + ganta is looking for the redman, then that gets completely abandoned and he joins the resistance, why that resistance can so easily exist in the first place is also conveniently not mentioned.

BLACK MAGIC And whats with this "New project"? is it paradox or something else(2nd season anime original?!) + Show Spoiler [Mirai Nikki - 26 (END)] + Yuki gets a happy end. In the manga, + Show Spoiler + Murmur gives Yuno 3 the memories of Yuno 1 and what you saw after the credits was Yuno breaking the time-space wall with a hammer to reunite with Yuki. And they get to see the stars together. I have to admit that this series was enjoyable at first, but I found it less and less enjoyable past the midway point. I never took a liking to Yuki at all. So he likes Yuno because she's always there for him but she's going to kill him in the end? He's dependent on her? And the one time he takes action, he kills off his friends on the false assumption that being god will bring back everyone. As for Yuno's love for Yuki, it's only to satisfy herself in the end? Their love for each other is so ridiculous. FWIW Yuno is a great yandere. Minene and Akise were cool too. I don't see myself revisiting this series again or much less care what their new project is.

Stories are related, but most of the people here watching EVOL haven't watched the original. The stories are set 12000 years apart. So while they do relate, thats alot of time inbetween the two series. Genesis is literally considered like a legend/fairy tale in EVOL. Relevant events in Genesis are explained when they require it. Obviously, you get more enjoyment out of EVOL after having seen the original, but Genesis isn't nearly as good as EVOL.

That just sounds absolutely ridiculous though, not that mirai nikki is realistic in the first place.
