For Bakemonogatari, they haven't announced an air date for the next episode yet. Considering how iirc they are not slated for DVD release till somewhere in Jan or later...yeah.

Yeah .... i watched 4 or 5 episodes long time ago and I remember being annoyed that after 3 episodes or so there was new plot starting and it all didn`t make a lot of sense so I stopped

Why does Natsuru even like Sakura? I mean, we're never really given a reason, he just kinda does. I hate him so much. Anyway, looks like the plot's finally kicking into high gear.

Well, Clannad's based off a visual novel, so in that case, the plot change reflects the fact that that they've finished covering one character route, and are starting on another.
As for what Clannad's about... I suppose you could call it a highschool anime (season 1, at least), but the story is so, so good. Each arc starts out pretty lighthearted, then the drama steadily increases until the tear-jerker conclusion. Most of what I like about it stems from the emotional impact of the series. I guess it's just easy to sympathize with the characters. On a lesser note, Clannad's also notable in that the characters actually grow up for once in the After Story.
Speaking of which, did anyone find Mei's arc kinda creepy? I mean, it was cute and everything, but there was just this creepy undertone throughout. I noticed they toned it down a bit in the anime... + Show Spoiler [VN spoilers] +Sunohara's a total bastard in this route too. Lost any respect I had gained for him after the turning Kyou down in her route. -_-

Sunohara family route creepy? If you meant the possibility of Mei getting hit on, just consider how in the game, you didn't have Nagisa as a buffer 
Also, I think UFO is talking about Bakemonogatari. If you can't accept that kind of style of storytelling (moving between slightly larger blocks, I suppose), then you won't be able to watch a lot of things. Or read them at that.

+ Show Spoiler +Episode 18 made me cry sooo much. I didn't cry when Nagisa died, but episode 18... T_T. In the next couple episodes, I was also going like, "are you serious you going to let Ushio die too?!?!?" the whole entire time... I think I could relate more because I have a younger sibling who is 6 years old.

Well my mother was born in Japan and read lots of manga and anime back in her day. She watched Astro Boy, Lupin III, and read several shoujo manga. She also told me several interesting stories about otakus in her school.
Perhaps the best thing about her is that she sat down and watched 99 episodes of Naruto with me when I was in 5th grade.(Please do not kill me konadora) She also sat down and watched Lucky Star, Death Note, and several Miyazaki films.
One thing my mother told me about anime is that it really changed. The big thing back in her day were sports and music if I remember correctly.
Also, my father watched some parts of Lucky Star once when he heard my sister and I laughing but the stuff he likes is Miyazaki, especially Ponyo since it made the access counter on his site skyrocket. But other than Miyazaki, he could care less for it but he did express some interest in Haruhi and Death Note and asked me about it.

Air was unable to move me like Clannad did, but when I think about the story, excluding the bad dialogue, it could be argued that it is the most depressing one out of the 3.

On a related Lucky Star note
+ Show Spoiler +Did anyone else cry in episode 21 where Konata's mom comes to visit? That was a interesting experience for me; I was crying yet laughing one after the other. Feels weird.
