I didn't cry when Nagisa died, but episode 18... T_T. In the next couple episodes, I was also going like, "are you serious you going to let Ushio die too?!?!?" the whole entire time... I think I could relate more because I have a younger sibling who is 6 years old. + Show Spoiler +I felt the same. I felt numb after episode 16, but oh god episode 18, the tears won't stop; cried straight through he next two episodes. On a related Lucky Star note + Show Spoiler +Did anyone else cry in episode 21 where Konata's mom comes to visit? That was a interesting experience for me; I was crying yet laughing one after the other. Feels weird.
I didn't cry I thought it was funny and cute
+ Show Spoiler + Dad: "Hey, afterwards, can you help me beat that game?" Mom: "Well they seem to be getting along." Dad: "I can't get this H scene to appear " Mom: " ?????! What kind of games are you letting your daughter play?!?!?!"

saddest anime arc ever was the chopper one in One Piece

I guess I really am the only one that just shrugged through that part, well, to be fair, when I first read Clannad that definitely wasn't a happy feeling. Knowing that it is coming though helps a ton.
Key has been getting pretty tame though, LB was even nicer about the whole emotional stuffing than Clannad was. That said, I wonder if Rewrite will reverse that trend...
11eyes and Blacksmith totally making a farce of themselves, belying what goodness was in the original. Seriously, how do you screw up 11eyes, it is like these folks have something against Nitro's games (well, 5pb in 11eye's case, dunno how them and nitro are connected other than chaos;head). Someone tell me how Demonbane's adoption was -.-

Watching kashimashi now
Yuri has never ben so gooodddd
|
I have to say, I prefer yaoi over yuri because yaoi is actually pretty damn funny when it is not dramatic.
Well besides that, I have recommended Clannad to several of my friends. My StarCraft friends said Clannad was their favorite anime (one of them even has it in their signature) but my DnD friends are another story. They thought Clannad was "okay" which did make me a bit mad but when I think about it, it really is not a surprise seeing how they loved shows like Shuffle!, School Days, and a lot of other ecchi. (Ironically, they told me that they hate hentai)

This season is kind of a flop as far as OP/ED songs go, I think.
The only one that stands out at all to me is 'only my RAILGUN', the rest I could take or leave.

anyone else getting disappointed at Seitokai no Ichizon?
the last episode was kind of funny in the beginning with the loli stuff, but...
I hope the next episode is better will watch when subs come out

every episode of seitokai has been amazing.
|
So I just finished
Higurashi no naku koro ni seasons 1 and 2 Code Geass DtB season 1 Monster
what should I watch next? I prefer mystery/suspense anime, rather than anything with a lot of action.

Amazingly bad. ORE NO HAREM + tired references to other shows + Ken suddenly having sage-like wisdom at the end of every episode to make it 'deep'

Thank me later.

I must say I enjoy the show quite a bit, though. Sugisaki's revelations are anything but deep, especially considering how it is fairly obvious that he and Chizuru are the smartest and most capable ones in the room. To try to take it as the show trying to be deep is a mistake. The references...well, it depends on what kind of humor you like? As for the harem, well, I don't really needs to be discussed even. Admittedly, the anime overplayed on the moe factor, and some of the humor felt better in text than in speech (huge personal bias here), but overall I find it still pretty enjoyable.

I hope the next episode is better will watch when subs come out Not keeping track of sub situation, they are up to the part with Lilicia's sister right? Personally I am slightly peeved at how much they are trying to cram into one episode, when letting things play out more fully as they did in novels feels like a far better idea. Again, my bias for text.

Though with Supercell setting so high a par from last season everything else this season feels like crap. Well, I have a liking for 11eyes' op and ed, but that might well be because I like Ayane's songs.

It may well be that they like the whole drama from those situations rather than whatever erotic situations that kind of a setting would mean?
Lastly, yay Haruhi-chan vol 3 raw! I can finally get my Haruhi-chan version disappearance wohoo~

Armed Librarians tBoB recently had an interesting twist

And oh my God I can't believe I missed watching Haibane Renmei. One of my favorite shows ever. It's soooo gooood.

I watched Grave of the Fireflies today. So damn depressing...
Has anyone been watching Darker than Black season 2? I enjoyed the first season a lot, is season 2 any good?
EDIT: Posted this in December Desktop thread, thought I might as well share this here.
The pictures are grouped by thread name. Anime Wallpapers
Disclaimer: Not every picture is wallpaper size. Not every picture is SFW. There are probably many duplicates. I haven't gone through most of these since I just grabbed any jpg files from the 4chan threads. My favorites: Classical Landscapes, Monochrome, Headphones

Looks right down J.C Staff's alley DoctorHelvetica: Death Note perhaps? I think it would definitely fall down that alley. And oh my God I can't believe I missed watching Haibane Renmei. Hidden gem that I completely overlooked. Must get on it now. People's reaction to Hayate season 2 seems to suggest otherwise, though I'd certainly be glad to see a version of seitokai following closer to novels.

Just finished kashimashi
Review: it was pretty good, the characters has some really nice development and the drama is pretty sadenning and deep
The ending was pretty blarg though, i think they needed an extra episode in there and maybe a bit more fanservice with the main and love interest. The last ep+OVA just kinda didn't fit with the rest of it.
Unlike strawb panic where the ending REALLY pulled you in and was the best part of the series

I remember watching Grave of the Fireflies in 2nd grade, I stopped somewhere in the middle because it was a bit too much for me at the time. My mother said she does not want to watch the film again because her mother went through the same thing the kids went through (without all the theft of course)
