This is ofcourse a valid point, but keep in mind that characters have been seen to undergo dramatic changes in their appearance.

but Jora is not of Joker's 4 Topdogs.
It's Trebol, Diamante, the spikey Spades guy whose name is still unknown I think, and the <3 Seat was reserved for Law but seems like Bellamy is the next in line for that position, unless Dofla is just using and screwing with him.

Yeah I don't think anyone will join at this point. Jimbei is set to join but something terrible will happen, Luffy will be pissed and epicness will ensue, but that's it.
Then again, it's Oda. So who knows.

Franky was a very out of the left field kind of crewmember, with all that Paulie red herring going on, so stranger things have happened. But it's highly unlikely a dwarf would join, just like none of the skypeia people joined. Chopper kinda already is the little gullible thing on the crew.

I think Franky joining was at least more obvious than Robin. Franky had some emotional scenes with Ussop even before it became obvious he would join by fighting one of the major enemies of the arc a CP9 member. Robin was more of an antagonist than Franky and doesn't even fit one of the vital roles for running a ship.

Deciphering Poneglyphs (ie Void History) is highly, highly relevant to the story, even if it isn't to the straw hats. Also being cool in the head (unlike most every other straw hat). During the CP9 arc, I thought it was more obvious to me that Robin would join the crew again and it was surprising to me that Franky did (though I should have seen it coming).
Basically, if anyone is going to join the crew, they need a purpose as well as a fair amount of story time to explain their origins.
By the way, re-watching from the start for time now, I'm at Thriller Bark. Apparently Kaido had previously owned Moria.

Hey guys, quick question, I have been on a hiatus from reading the manga for a looooooonggggggggg time, so which site, or which group's translation would you recommend I read from, I'm around the vergo reveal in the punk hazard arc. I've heard there are significant differences in different places.

Violet would be the PERFECT crew member candidate if it wasnt for the fact that she looks too much like Robin. Think about it, she has an excentric personality, she has had a whole chapter dedicated to her introduction, and most of all she has a "Job". Every member of the crew has to fill a certain role (Luffy - captain, Zoro - first mate, Sanji - chef, Nami - navigator etc)
Violet is a professional Dancer. They already have a Musician/Bard, so why not a Dancer to raise their spirits even further? they already have all the essential jobs covered (navigator, chef, mechanic, doctor etc), so something miscellaneous as a dancer really isnt that far fetched compared to brooks role. plus it would be awesome to just see the straw hats dancing togheter on their trips!
she also seems to be quite skilled with Knives/Daggers (no straw hat member uses that fighting style niche yet) and she is a woman. considering the male/female ratio of the straw hat crew, im pretty certain the next member will be a female.
if she cut her hair short or something to distinguish her fro Robin, she would be an ideal candidate.
