Oh my 5k post being in the One Piece thread seems fitting :D
yeah but this is the grand line, going in a straight line isn't possible, remember?
........ of course that means that you can't get to raftel though, what the fuck >_<
are you right?

drawing a straight line between 2 points in the surface of a sphere is different from drawing a straight line between 2 points through the sphere. The island could be under ocean or even under the sea floor depending on how far away the island's are located.
Because think about it, if the second picture in this http://imgur.com/nz9z4k8 is draw on the surface of the ocean, people would only need 2 points and the hidden island has to be somewhere along the line between the 2 points, people like aokiji or anyone that can fly like shiki would have already found it, there would be no need for all 4 islands.

or a shrine or some crap and all 4 need to be active to get past the barrier around raftel (lol)

You'd need 2 points across from each other if it was 2D. If the two points are not they don't help you much. Either way it's probable that there's some reason why you need all four that we can't really infer from the details we were given.
|
2 points isn't enough, except if those two points are linked together. If not, you're going to search for nothing.
|
Even 4 points isn't enough.
It's going to form 2 circles on the sphere which will intersect at 2 points.
If you take all possible pairs of two points you get 2*4choose2 12 locations

There might be a reason to need 4 poneglyphs and it might be written there. Too bad, unless Robin explain to us before they get all clues its a mistery to be solved in the next decade D: But really could be many things, the dog could be wrong about the drawing a cross thing, maybe its not that simple.

Robin's bounty should definitely higher. How many people can read poneglyphs just Robin? She holds the key to ancient weapons, true history and now possibly the only guide to One Piece. Maybe someone like Roger, aka Luffy, could magic sense to read the poneglyph, but other than that it's just Robin so far.

Yea I never got why her bounty was so low for how high a priority she probably has with WG. Hell she is arguably a higher value target then even Luffy for the WG with the knowledge she has.

Even though everyone and their mom seems to know that Robin can read poneglyphs, her bounty is still ostensibly because she is the demon child from Ohara that destroyed 6 marine ships. It's possible that they don't increase her bounty further, since they don't want to bring too much attention to her, and prefer to leave her arrest to the Cipher Pols.
It is pretty odd though.

I think it has been mentioned somewhere in the manga that the WG did not want to draw so much attention to the poneglyph knowledge. Or I may just have remembered it wrongly

they dont give a fuck about Raftel though, her value is only the possibility of her activating an ancient weapon that may not even exist in a functional accesible state

Will haki be a requirement for it and who else know how to do it? didn't he carve it into the gold around the ponyglyph and not the glyph itself? I cant remember, I just assumed it was on the glyph
Seems pretty likely that Lord Oden could have just carved it for Rogers.

There's a theory I read recently about that picture and in my opinion, it's going to be right.
That guy is Scopper Gaban, the third strongest member of the Roger Pirates.
You read it here first. He will show up in Wano country.
+ Show Spoiler + Gold Roger - Top 1 Silvers Rayleigh - Top 2 S copper Gaban - Top 3
