The best part of this episode is that they didn't dilute it with a whole bunch of different storylines. In fact, I don't think they left King's Landing once.

That was pretty good :-p But my favorite moment was probably the banter on top of the wall between Tyrion and Joffrey using the Hound and Lancel. Joffrey to Tyrion: "Why isn't our fleet here now? They're coming!" Tyrion: "..." Joffrey to the Hound: "Hound, tell the Hand that his King has asked him a question." Hound to Tyrion: "The king has asked you a question." Tyrion to Lancel: "Lancel, tell the Hound to tell the King that the Hand is extremely busy." Lancel to the Hound: "The Hand of the King would like me to tell you to tell the King--" Such epic drama, and yet they still make me laugh at points -- just brilliant, love Tyrion :-p Lancel is pretty good for comic relief, too -- a few episodes back, he gets kicked out of Tyrion's litter where they were talking, and Tyrion tells him to tell Bronn to kill him if anything happens to Tyrion -- Lancel tells Bronn, who's standing right there, and Bronn just smiles and nods. Edit @below: Yes and no -- I like them both and don't want to see either of them die, especially for no particular reason :-( I was actually covering my eyes during that scene because I thought the Hound was just going to kill Bronn right there. In terms of actually seeing them fight just to decide who's better, though, yeah -- that would be pretty awesome.

I fear for Robb Stark's army now that the Lannisters and Tyrells joined forces. With Stannis losing his army an alliance with him doesn't mean much.

Season 1 Littlefinger tells us about how he got his scars (his brother shoving his face in a fire), then he threatens to strangle a man with his own guts if a flaming arrow comes anywhere near him, then he freezes when a flaming man comes at him, looks around at all the fire, and says "fukkit!" I think you should be able to piece it together now =P

I really disagree with this. I thought the scene where the Hound freaks out was well executed and the reasons behind it were clear enough heading into this episode. Maybe others don't feel the same way but it clicked immediately for me.

The Hound was amazing in this episode, with, "I see a clean sword, I'll rape your fucking corpse." or "fuck the kingsguard, fuck the city, fuck the king." You only get to see him in this one episode really act like this, while in the book he kind of acts like that all the time.

i love the hound, and the show is all i know. it was also foreshadowed we'll see him again and learn more about him. everything is working until you say something isn't as detailed as a book.

Take that scene, and compare it to the actor's audition tape, explaining his own back story: Hound is more like a very angry indignant badass in the book, so the difference in anger was surprising. Still, I'm happy the Hound is back on track with this episode. This has probably been my 2nd favorite episode so far, first being Baelor.

Let's hope HBO pumps even more money in this show.
