They don't know that much about dragons (it has been 300 years or sth and I bet the Targaeryens didn't tell everybody all their knowledge about dragons), for them they might very well be a threat.

Best episode so far, acting is top notch
Littlefinger seemed off in the first few episodes of season 2 but this one he was on top on his game, amazing acting!
Well Littlefinger has to be careful now that Cersei threatened to kill him and Tyrion is cleaning Small council (removing that city watch lord plus Maester Pycelle). Now that he left King's Landing and serves Hand of the King (instead of Cersei) he can be more liberal. Tyrion is worth serving I guess.

also im surprised no major characters died so far, only aryas 'leader' of whom we didnt see realy that much on the show.. i wasnt even worried one second that the bastard would get killed.
Well there's no point talking about what-ifs. It's possible the 13 are just not prone to mindless killing. Moreover, assuming that Dany grows to be a powerful figure, Qarth would be in her good graces. Killing Dany and taking her dragons may have both unintended side effects (the dragons becoming uncontrollable or insane) and long-term consequences (offending the khal. herd).
There could be a multitude of reasons why turning them away / accepting them as guests is simply better than just killing her. Of course, for the sake of the plot, Dany gets the future in which she lives, but the decision not to kill her can be reasoned.

Not sure about that. The show handles most everything from the books as well as you could ask for. I'm not sure about the heavy handed "this is what power is" scenes that they write in, or the obligatory 1-sex-scene/episode, but overall is pretty great.
Without spoiling anything, Joffrey having that prostitute beaten up (possibly to death) by the other prostitute was not in the book- only there to reinforce the notion of "who has power" for viewers.
I'm starting the books tonight because I realize I cannot wait so long to get so little when there's so much going on at the same time. Hope the books are even better, predicting they are!

This might've been mentioned before but, anybody who likes Carice van Houten as Melisandre should check out Black Death. She plays a very similar character, and it's a cool movie
Fk, he is a dead man then, his character hasn't survived a in...how many years and movies? It's crazy, the man is a death sentence to any character in a movie!
Really great episode — as usual though. Tywin and Tyrion really kicking ass, too bad they don't get along that well. "Too bad" (not really) the other Lannisters are all messed up.
I haven't followed them well, but from the episodes I've seen, I wasn't much of a fan of Borgias or Tudors. I do always think of Colm Feore when I see Stannis (Stephen Dillane) though.

I haven't seen the Borgias but I am planning on watching it. Pillars of the Earth and the Tudors are both great, though I personally like the Tudors more just because I love history and I enjoyed seeing the English court portrayed over such a long reign. The Tudors did a better job connecting me with the characters, but thats because its like 4 seasons instead of a mini-series.

It does seem strange that Joffrey turned out so weird. His brother and sister seem normal. All his relatives apart from the incest and being the second evilest family in the books and show seem pretty normal.
