If anyone is going to be pragmatic about dealing with the White Walkers, its Little Finger. His entire character is about seeing the way the wind is blowing.
Yeah but all he cares is about furthering his own ambitions. He's more than willing to let the world burn for his favor. Considering he started the war of the five kings I don't know how on board he's going to be with the white walkers.

Considering he started the war of the five kings I don't know how on board he's going to be with the white walkers. He never struck me as the type to want to rule over cinders or a frost covered wasteland. He understands that the war of the five kings will end and go back to the status quo. That isn't the case with the White Walkers, which he can't just talk his way around.

I must say, whoever at the NBA had the 4th quarter start at the very end of GoT... good job. Very good job.

I think they were going for the Cane battle reproduction, drawing the other army in charging then giving them ground and swallowing them. But ya pretty much and hammer and anvil strategy I think, you are suppose to attack yourself when you do an hammer and anvil. (could also be completely wrong)
I am talking about john plan by the way, idk if that was what you were talking about to

Oh my god. That episode had the most satisfying ending. What a great episode ^_^

All in all, solid episode. The action scenes were solid and very enjoyable. Obviously it was very predictable if you're someone who reads and thinks about this stuff so much, so a bit disappointing that there aren't many twists. When Rickon died, there was no emotional response, since he was dead already (to me).
I'm curious what the relationship between Sansa, Littlefinger, and Jon will be now. I want Littlefinger to be good, so I hope he doesn't get screwed over by Sansa - I think it'd be nice if Littlefinger and Sansa alienate Jon a little bit for failing, as someone else mentioned.
Good Ramsay death too. I'll need to rewatch the battle in higher quality though lol.

The most important part of this is that the least interesting character of game of thrones is finally dead and we can move on to other plot lines.

Iwan Rheon will be the biggest star at the end of this series.

Onion Knight planning on trying to kill Melisandre?

This episode was what I needed. The opening with Dany was awesome, I can't see the iron islands really honoring the treaty though.
Bastard bowl was predictable, but it didn't upset me. Action was chaotic and they really showed how fucked they were outnumbered by more than 2-1 with inferior weapons(horses) and eventually tactics.
I'm really left wondering where John goes from here. He hasn't had great success as a leader and doesn't want it, but earns respect from others, which makes me think he is still someone to be under a queen...

Jon will be Warden of the North under their incoming Queen.

So does anyone think Cersei isnt going to burn the cept to the ground next week using the Mad Kings wildfire thats under it? I mean they clearly didnt mention that for no reason.

I don't know, maybe go behind the giant and move forward to break their formation? Or perhaps it's just best to let them mush you into a big clump and get picked off one by one.
I mean it was a good episode regardless. Too much Hollywood but alright overall.
People in battle don't tend to think that well. Getting surrounded was mainly because of they way the used the flesh wall to hide their real numbers. By the time they realized what was going on it was too late.
Really what annoyed me was: A) The fact that there was a flesh wall that high to begin with B) The fact that they used the phalanx technique
Neither made a lot of sense. Is there supposed to be a house in the north known for using the phalanx technique or something? Otherwise I'm not really sure why we haven't seen it till now.
(It also took a bit to ignore the fact that thousands of men looked like a couple hundred.)

The scene with Jon in the thick of battle was awesome and I want to see how they did that. That shit was amazingg. Nothing in GoT has made sense in any form of warfare from the real world, beyond that people use swords. You can't put trebuchets on boats and the show is real fast and lose with what armor is used. So if they want to fight with super cool looking shield lines, sure. That's fun.

I think Sansa is going to push her claim to the winterfell throne, john should not be to hard to convince.
Also I realy hope Theon and her Yara is going to betray Dany when they take control of the islands and overall I hope Dany is going to fail miserably at conquering westeros, dying against the white walker or assassinate by the other house. Having her win the iron throne would be the most boring scenario.
