I liked this episode. I don't get why people flame every single episode of that show in this thread. It's a bit annoying. Every week we have 10 posters explaining at length why everything sucks. Well, then why are you watching?
The story advances in every location and plot stagnation is what has been frustrating at times in this series.
Also what is this crap with "Oh she is wounded therefore she shouldn't be able to jump and how come her wound didn't get infected this and that..." Who the hell cares? It's a story, guys, it's not real life, and you don't need to look at a TV show looking as hard as possible for plot holes everywhere.
I do think that the Black Fish plot resolution was a bit quick, but frankly, Edmure's behaviour was everything but unbelievable. The Black Fish had no problem with him being hung, and as I see it, alienated his guards and troops by promising them a certain death for no reason. I think it's completely believable that resentment grew and his soldiers got an excellent opportunity to avoid getting slaughtered after a horrible siege.
The question is what Jamie will do now and how that part of the story will reconnect with Sansa and what happens in the North with the incoming battle between the Boltons and her army.

Until this episode I did not like the 6th season at all, everything that was going on just seemed so incredibly boring. Just talking and walking ... But finally things are starting to get tense, I especially liked the hound parts. I hope there will be more episodes like this!

He decided that Arya should join, then that she had a name, then that she didn't have a name, then that she should die, then that she had become no-one, even though she left because she could never put that name behind her and that's why she had to die. There is no possible telling of the Faceless Jesus storyline that I can think of that makes even the slightest bit of sense. It's all just "wait but what?".
best summary of that arc i've seen

This episode was so lame. The worst part was Arya not only surviving, but even being able to sprint, jump and fall across the whole city, winning a fight, bringing the Waif's face to the temple while dripping blood, and then just up and leaving perfectly healthy like nothing happened.

Might be time to stop reading this thread, it is just getting more and more negative after each episode.

She is clearly shown bleeding during the pursuit, so she hasn't healed at all Then kills the waif and brings her head back to the temple. The head is still bleeding, which means the waif was killed not long ago, but Arya isn't bleeding anymore, for some reasons
If we have to find some stupid reasons to try explaining how it could make sense just show how bad the writing is

yep I agree, at this point it seems people wouldn't be satisfied no matter what I still enjoy the show very much, but here it's an overflow of negative comments..

That's because there has been a clear decline in quality. It's still a good show, but it used to be much better.
|
I don't know if it's the quality, or i am just tired of being shown about white walkers so long ago and the inminent threat seems less inminent after every single season. Got my hopes high last season, but it seems like nupe.

That's honestly the first episode I didn't like, I've liked everything else so far but this one just hurt

Beyond the silly Arya invincible action hero scenes, we have the waif acting like she is a T-1000 with her running on walls and impossibly fast tracking, then slow strides when Arya is temporarily incapacitated by her injuries, instead of just finishing Arya off when she was sleeping,or running when Arya is barely limping around. And I guess we are to believe that the waif was never blinded and trained to fight blind during her initiation so lights out was the end for her? And then Jaqen is just cool with her walking away after sending an assassin to kill her, because he randomly decides she is now no one? Even after she admits she is Arya Stark?
Finally Mountain kills a militant member of the faith, which you expect some sort of retaliation or consequences when Cersei is summoned to court, and then it's like nobody cares. So why hasn't anyone fought the faith militant again? It makes little sense that trial by combat would be abolished by Tommen when Cersei is on trial for incest, which if proven guilty will mean Tommen is no longer king and will likely be killed as well...
Riverrun had no effect on the story from season 3 until now, and nothing changed with the surrender now, so what was the point of even including it? To kill off Black Fish in a pointless suicide fight off screen when he easily could have escaped?
They waste an extended amount of cringe worthy screen time with Tyrion telling bad jokes to Greyworm and Messendei. Where is the Tyrion who was Hand of the King? Now he is a moron. Why does Dany want Tyrion around and alive any more now? Hasn't he been more of a detriment than a positive for her to this point? Now he is just bad comedic relief scenes.

Arya story was just beyond ridiculous.

The question is what Jamie will do now and how that part of the story will reconnect with Sansa and what happens in the North with the incoming battle between the Boltons and her army. I liked the resolution of Arya’s plot line and her decision to no longer run from her family and home. Since fleeing King’s Landing she has been running from returning home or using her real name. Her running away from who she was always struck me as the most realistic response a child grieving. On top of all the murder. Having seen loved ones go through the grieving, the avoiding things that force the grief to the front a big part the process.
I like the ending when she is given the option of becoming “No one” and truly leaving herself and her grief behind, she decides to use her full name and to return home. Though I bet next episode Faceless Jesus gives her a mask or something. I doubt she goes back into the A-plot without anything to show for these two seasons beyond a bunch of training.
