Polar Bear-Dog. Kind of funny that he is avoiding it for a polar bear pet makes no sense when the actual animal in the story makes even less sense lol.

Kind of funny when you consider how every almost every single animal in this fantasy world (emphasis on fantasy) is a hybrid of two animals: Turtle-ducks Tigerdillos Platypus Bear Flying Bisons. Polarbear Dogs Penguin Seals Fire Ferrets Badger Mole I mean, the list goes on and on and on. The exceptions I think are Dragons, Sea Serpents, Owls, and...oh yeah, the bear.

When she freaks out at the end of the show, it's because she's only ever had power in her life and has never known what it's like to have friends and love. It's a tragedy in a way. To be honest, she is one of my favourite characters. Her dialogue could be straight out of Game of Thrones in a lot of places in how she handles situations. The show is written very brilliantly actually. Zuko and Aang are character foils of each other. You often see their stories parralled, as when Aang struggles with a particular theme Zuko is doing the same. For example, the Avatar State is similar to Azula in theme. When Aang vows to never go into the Avatar state it's the same episode as the one where Azula tries to capture Zuko in the second season. At the end of the second season, when Zuko is faced with the decision of to do the right thing and join his uncle, or take the easy way out and help Azula, he chooses to help Azula. Likewise, Aang decides to go into the Avatar state as well and ends up getting killed and is reborn thanks to Katara. Zuko, likewise, is also reborn at this point and becomes the Firelord's son once again. Both made a mistake in how they handled the situation with Azula and the Avatar State. In the final episode of the show, Aang is able to overcome his destiny and the Avatar State, and likewise, Zuko faces Azula and is able to overcome her - both fulfilling their destinies. At this point both characters are able to "complete" each other. When Zuko spares Azula, Aang spares the Firelord. It's actually pretty damn epic how the two characters are foiled so incredibly well. If you watch the seasons with this in mind, you can atually catch on to how they both need each other to reach their potentials and how their stories are paralleled quite brilliantly. Yep. Now that I'm looking for it there definitely is a lot of foiling. Weird I kinda thought it was just how team avatar was doing and how team fire nation was doing but the story seems to gravitate towards zuko and aang.

+ Show Spoiler + Im not sold on the whole energy bending bit just yet, Amon's story of the spirits coming to him didnt make too much sense (unless it was koh maybe) and the lack of celestial lights during the so called energy bending makes it a hard convince. could have just been advanced chi blocking. BUT i guess we'll find out!

i guess aang isnt the only one who can take a persons bending away. it cant be some advance blocking because aang use the exact same technique. had some nice aaction in the new episodes.

+ Show Spoiler + Heres something I've been thinking about after the third episode. Amon says his face was "taken", then he was visited by the spirits who gave him the power to take away bending. In the first series of avatar, you encounter Koh the face stealer, who as his name implies, can steal people's faces. Koh hates the avatar and says to Aang, "we will meet again". Perhaps Koh was the one who allowed Amon to energy bend?

BUT i guess we'll find out! doing spoiler tags just in case... + Show Spoiler + Yeah i agree that has to be some super-chi blocking thing, i am betting it can be reversed by some Avatar-spirit ability. Althou I am more convinced than ever that Koh is invoved... -Amon's Mask is very similer to what Koh's creepy white face looked like -In the trailers we see Amon has some kind of mind-fuck ability that he uses to haunt Karra's dreams which implys some kind of spirit thing going on. -Amon mentioned that the fire-bender who killed his family burned his face and that why he wears a mask...I am thinking that his face was stolen instead. -Amon derectly mentions the spirit world who taught him the bender sepression ability -They never really did anything with Koh or much with the spirit world in genral so there is a lot of potential therhe. probably WAAAAY to early to be speculating like this what whatever =p
