No, this is not a joke/trolling thread. We don't need more filler posts asking if it is.

New episode spoiler: + Show Spoiler + Everything up until the last minutes was AMAZING, the song, Pinkie being Pinkie etc so good. The ending however felt really rushed, not nearly as bad as The Return of Harmony part 2 or Hearth's Warming however. In a week maybe I can decide if this was better than Last Roundup.
The Best Night Ever is still my favorite episode, it had it all.
On a side note, because of the lack of Fluttershy this season I can no longer consider Fluttershy as best pony :'( That honor is now Pinkie Pie's. Still waiting for a Fluttershy episode though...

If you look at the date "Party of One" first aired, it's April 29th 2011. Four days before Pinkie's actual birthday. I mean I doubt that's intentional, but if it is...
haha, that's great, even better than this one + Show Spoiler +

Season two just keeps getting better and better.

right up there with The Last Roundup as a top contender for best ep of s2 so far, 10/10
+ Show Spoiler +The song was the best of s2 so far, all the continuity references were awesome, Cranky was a very likeable character whom I could relate to a lot, and it was also perhaps one of the most emotionally meaningful episodes yet. Also it felt very cartoony with all the impossible Pinkie shenanigans that reminded me of old Looney Tunes, etc. cartoons.
The ending was rushed, but I mean what can we expect from a 22 minutes long episode, it was pretty much as good as it could get so yeah.

If songs are a testament to the show's quality, then this show is the best there is. Hands Down. No Contest. At least in the Children's Cartoon Show Category.
+ Show Spoiler + My opinions of the episode is that it was great (like that's going to help LOL). Anyways, I think this episode best adheres to the tenets of the show itself because of the themes it presents- friendship. And Pinkie, in her own weird and often 4th wall breaking ways, best represents the themes the show has built itself on. Like they say, Friendship is Magic. And this episode brought out the best (and often humor) of the show.

+ Show Spoiler +I HATE HAPPINESS
Nah jk...
The Episode was great, one of the best of the season, and the song was good too, though not my favorite. Kinda felt bad for the donkey, all his memories and dreams burned! and then soaked... At least it worked out in the end.

I'm going to quickly give my thoughts, I didn't really like the episode too much. + Show Spoiler + > the episode felt very short > Too many songs for me, it dominated the episode. > Pinkie Pie's behaviour was cringey. > Why didn't twilight get a welcome wagon? Bad continuity. > No distinctive moral, seemed a bit vague > The whole "long lost lover" seemed like a cop-out (although it is a young audience). > Pinkie Pie was also redeemed out of chance more than her own good actions. > not enough Fluttershy/ Rarity (and hardly any RD or Twilight) for me. > It seemed to be a metaphor for bronies being overly expressive (and view this negatively) > I didn't really enjoy the episode, (opinion I concur) Grumble grumble grumble, I'm secretly a donkey
Good points: > RD reading continuity > Baby cakes continuity > Derpy being in the snow globe > There were a few funny references (yankie doodle dandy) > I admit the songs were very good, as always. The quality of the animation and music continues to impress.
So I think I'd give it a 6 or 7/10 overall. And that's on a scale where I've never given more than 9 or less than 4 for MLP. Looking forward to a Fluttershy themed show!

+ Show Spoiler +Just give me a MLP musical already...I love the new music and the episode too.
|
+ Show Spoiler +Damn good episode! Loved the song and music too. Heard the leak a while ago, but the animation that went with it was amazing! (Edited out a longer post that missed the mark)

just wanted to share how amazingly awesome Blizzard is and how really cool the support center is online. When I learned about the name change thing, I wanted to change mines to something easily recognizable (and pony related :D). Well a glitch happened in which it said that I had used it when I clearly hadn't, so I sent Blizzard a letter asking if they was anything I could do. They, of course, guided me to the forums and advised me to just wait and see what happens. Having done that yesterday, today I decided to ask again if they was anything else I could do, to which they said only time and hopefully the forum will help you and us fix this problem. I was a little sad about this, knowing I was stuck with my name, but logging into Battle.net, I learned that they had given me a name change when I logged in! I was pleasantly surprised and am genuinely happy at how fast they can fix a problem! Now my name is ponified and it still is recognizable. Yay! Just thought I'd share.

Thoughts on the recent episode follow: + Show Spoiler ++The song was amazing. +Pinkie Pie is an eldritch abomination with the mission of generating positive emotions in Ponyville through feedback looping to enable her patron Elder God to harvest them. +Dem continuity nods. +So many good gifs!
-... I got nothing.
10/10

+ Show Spoiler +There was nothing but amazing and awesome in that episode. I managed to stay away from the spoiled song until now, and... wow. Smile, Smile, Smile is INCREDIBLE.
Oh, and the spa twins. YEAH. My reaction to that in IRC was something like "AAAAAAAAAA. aowevna fvwe vnavn ea viwaeocndfkjv arv naoewvaoiae ! oawn aonv ao i! AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

I really liked that they improved episode to episode continuity. + Show Spoiler +As for the song: I liked the theme, but the text and melody/high pitch not so much. Also great that they named a few background ponies, I just hope they don´t change the voice actors willy nilly like they did with BonBon. Reading Rainbow is always a plus in my book. The best part about this is really that Pinkie was flawed this time around, unlike other times when she just "is the way she is" and everyone nods off. The plot itself was kinda cringeworthy. That could be intentional, but being deliberately bad still means being bad.
All in all, everything besides the main plot was outstanding. The characterdefining episode for Pinkie. (Come to think of it, are there characterdefining episodes for all mane 6? Hmmmm...)

my thoughts on the episode + Show Spoiler +it was pretty good, the song was probably my favorite, its just too damn catchy. i felt really sorry for cranky for most of the episode so it kind of put me off in general. also the ending felt really rushed and lazy, but what are you going to do time constraints must be met. i also like how the episodes are starting to feel more strung together by recurring themes like rainbow reading and the babies i hope they keep that up, it builds a deeper atmosphere.
