Hey guys so I'm sitting here in the wee hours of the night, working on a fic for the FIMfiction contest (with like, 14 hours to go, 8 of which are going to be sleep and 3 of which other personal things), I had a thought. It wasn't random mind you. It's been one that's been forming in the back of my head for quite sometime. It has to do with something very intergral (I think) to the Brony community and something that distinguished it from a lot of other online communities from the get go. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/zRSbi.jpg) This gem right here. When I first came into the Brony community, I laughed at it, realized how nice and sweet of a meme it was, and then liked how many members of the community would apply it to their own lives during interactions with fellow bronies or other people in real life. It seemed fine and dandy and all and I have used it also here and there. But as time went on, and I caught up on all the episodes a nagging thought hit the back of my mind. Namely this: Where is this creed or anything like it ever mentioned in the show at all? I found hard pressed to find evidence of where this message might have been gleaned from. And the search so far has proven to be fruitless. MLP is filled with messages of friendship and social interactions, but never ever do they tell you to apply that to someone who is openly antagonizing or trying to hurt you. In fact, the opposite can be said to be true. For example, Discord is probably the closet we'll get to a representation of those who do not like our fandom. If the show truly was about love and tolerance, then the Mane6 would have just sat down and tried to tolerate Discords zany actions, in fact even try to understand and accomdate him. But as we all know, they actively try to take him down, turn him back into stone, and rid of the chaos and destruction that Discord brought down onto Ponyville. Another example: Gilda the Griffon was not loved and tolerated. Rainbow Dash put her foot down and more or less kicked Gilda out of her life. So where exactly did "Love and tolerate" come from? Was it something that the community itself took from the show? Or is it something that was in the show to begin with? Or is it a little of both? I am not saying that MLP: FiM is not devoid of messages of love and friendship. It's what the whole show is about, it is what this entire community is built around. I just had this thought were we can only love and tolerate and try to make friends to those who clearly antagonize us and go out of their way to hurt us so much before we draw a line. Anyways, back to writing for the contest. Just a little rant I had stuck in my head and wouldn't let me think clearly. No offense meant to anyone here. Just being confused and questioning in the wee hours of the night. | ||

It's regarding the last episode with the crusaders in it. + Show Spoiler + The scence when the three sat in the bushes and waited for Big Mac and his soon to be most loved thing in the world are about to kiss. The faces of the three crusaders (when they were zooming in) is what I would like to have as a wallpaper but without the sign of the tv station You think it might be possible to help me out? The only thing I didn't LOVE about this episode was the stomping/marching that they did during the song (and they do it in other songs too : /), I mean it's kind of fun, but looks kind of ridiculous. The only repetitive motion that I found to be a positive influence on a song was the "push-ups" in the cider song, but the marching in this and the Gala song as well as other songs kind of, not exactly ruin it, but maybe lessen the awesomeness of the song. The Rainbow Dash/Twilight Scene was personally my favorite part of the episode and for that scene it goes from a 7.5 to an 8.5/10. edit: I suppose it hasn't been a full day yet. | ||

To clarify, I never trolled bronies at all before I took a look at the show; I was going to use MLP to troll my friends because it was the last thing they'd expect. | ||

I don't know how to make those fancy spoiler tags with text: + Show Spoiler + New song, which we had already heard but was more amazing with fancy moving images (gotta stimulate all senses!) Also, there were more than just one song in the episode. Four? I hope the pony musicians pick up on the others too so we get even more amazing remixes! By the way, I love how it is impossible to outrun Pinkie, one has to admit she really is very frightening... Also, like everyone else pointed out: Dash and Twi hanging out reading! Awesome in itself, but most importantly: potential for more Twidash with their little book club being a good ground to base the stories on? I am however disappoint too. Four episodes ago we got Derpy speaking, and there hasn't been any of that since. It's torture giving us that, and then no more of it. Like eating one french fry. I mean, that already clogged my cardiac arteries so my heart is fried, but my pancreas is still hanging in there. Only cuteness of Derpy magnitude can help me achieve multiple organ failure. My biggest disappointment so far with the pony community is how everyone thought it so important Derpy would be Derpy when there was already a good name for her mentioned on the show, which was slightly less mean. I feel like when it comes to her, there have been so many nods to the fandom already that we should be satisfied. But when she was the cutest thing ever in Last Roundup it didn't matter. But please, let there be more speaking Derpy than just that of that episode! I also like how Derpy doesn't speak every episode; it'll make it a lot more special when she actually does. On a more pessimistic note, I'd be willing to bet it'll be quite some time before she does get another speaking role. I'm sure the folks working on the show were made aware of the shitstorm that resulted, and if I were them I'd be hesitant to tread that tightrope again. | ||
