Also, from your complaint in July, Guts brought a behelit to an island of sorcerers/witches. Sorcerers tend to be people who crave power. We already saw during the entrance to the island that they are quick to attack. Then the next chapter we get asked the question, is it Guts's behelit or is it meant for someone else and he's just carrying it? Then this chapter we got a lot of mystical creatures acting very strangely towards the newcomers, but put in their place by the witch who ended up being the elf king. And we finally saw a funny coup attempt by Puck. What happens when a jealous or power hungry sorcerer steals the behelit and kills the elf king in a real coup attempt? The portal to hell is opened, corrupting the magical creatures, and all hell breaks loose on an island that is already pretty crazy. It's all being foreshadowed. To me, the only question is if the Elf King can heal Casca before it all happens (or does so with a dying breath) or if the attempt is a failure and more friends die with no Casca progress. Also, does the island end up as a hell hole or does Guts defeat enough of the monsters and return the island to peace under a different ruler or even save the Elf King? I think next chapter we'll get a little more world building and some progress with the Casca plotline, but the chapter after that will be crazy. | ||
