I don't remember if he was Reinforcement or not... probably though. Still, if he trained his emission a lot he can use emission techniques. I don't want him to get real strong though, that would make Gon and Killua's progress and talents feel less awesome. Gon's dad is such an asshole. But he's still pretty funny. I think I liked it more when he was a mysterious shadow that no one really knew anything about though.

I forget how most of the powers work x.x it's been way too long. I wouldn't say Ging is an asshole; it's just his relationship with Gon is really unique. They both have "hunter" minds in which they embrace a challenge. Gon's life challenge is to find his dad - hide and seek. For Ging to approach Gon himself would be an insult to Gon. Furthermore, he already stated his belief that since Gon is his son, he won't die. He's probably worried but has enough faith in him that he'll make it through, especially with the help of his friends. When Ging asked if Gon ever said "I want him to come," I feel like that meant if he ever said that. Gon didn't once say he wished his dad came for him; he wants to find him on his own. Ging actually understands Gon better than Leorio, although Leorio is known to get emotionally unreasonable when it comes to his friends.

That said, he's still a lackluster father who abandoned his family and deserved to get punched in the face. We've gotten to see one side of Ging's personality recently, but he's still shrouded in mystery. We don't know anything about his abilities, why he avoids hunter regulations, what he's been up to recently, or the details of his disappearance before Pariston was vice chairman. I think it would have been too ambitious of a build-up to keep everything about him a secret forever. Not to mention unrealistic, given how important of a person he is. Also, I'm curious about Leorio's attack. There are only 3 possibilities: (1) it's impossible for anyone to dodge, (2) Ging simply chose not to dodge it, or (3) it's possible to dodge but so fast that Ging still couldn't dodge it. No matter what the answer is, it'll be interesting to learn more.

It took a few minutes but I think I manages to recall most of the parts I forgot, but the missing parts are gone forever unless I reread the manga. Corrected that for you. Also I would say this is a pretty reasonable speculation, one that would fit the highly complex Nen possibilities. Hilarious though, even though I get that Ging wants Gon to earn a meeting with him by hunting him down, gotta love Leorio for sticking up for his friend.

I believe the English version is not out yet, so to those who can read Chinese or just can't wait, can click this link. Random comments on this chapter: + Show Spoiler + The Zoldyck Family is so damn complicated. Illumi has made his goal clear now that Alluka must die. They have a rule that they cannot kill their own family members, but Alluka doesn't count... That pisses me off ![]() Also, lol @ The Ring reference from Illumi. Can't wait for the next chapter ![]()

Idk the art is kinda derp at times but it is what it is, yeah the guy wrote a huge hit shonen manga in the 90's and has a big following from it and thats why most people pay attention to this series it initially why i did. yeah the breaks are really annoying get over it, anyone remember waiting for hellsing to finish it took hirano what? atleast 10 years to make a nazi vampire insane blood bath with a hot police girl yeah he did, hopefully drifter is better. but atleast togashi is still putting along despite the slow pace and his terrible health state some how. yeah some of the quality has dropped but i look way more forward to it then bleach most the time. Ant arc imo ok got confusing abit because no re read of it to read it in a more fluid manner.

I have however begun watching the 2011 reboot and I must say that so far it is excellent. I figured since the reboot is just starting this as good a time as any to get into it. If anyone wants to see it look it up on hulu, technically it redirects you to crunchyroll but you can find it there via hulu. As of current it is only available in sub and not an English dub. A questions to fans of Hunter x Hunter, without giving any spoilers about the plot, I have only seen the first 2 episodes as of this post . How does the 2011 reboot compare to the original anime? i.e. How accurately does it follow the manga as of compared to the original, capture its spirit?, portray its mood? etc. etc....

- It's really hard to compare both versions without revealing some important details. Overall, the first 8 episodes of the 2011 series are truer to the manga than are the corresponding episodes of the 1999 series. If the first arc of the 1999 series is 7.5 out of 10 in terms of closeness to the sourse, the new version would deserve an 8, or 8.5. This is not to say that the 2011 series is better than the 1999 one though, because the fillers in the old anime were done quite skillfully and didn't seem to be out of place at all.

If I may ask OOC which series do you personally like better?, or is it to early to tell at this point. I absolutely love Yuyu Hakusho, it is my all time favorite anime and this is why I was interested in getting into Hunter x Hunter. I will also need to watch Level E sometime, though that one is quite short so it will be easy to see all of that.
