Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

As much as that guy's voice is annoying, I wasn't aware of the cut on budget from S1 to S2 nor the fact that he was fired. That explains a lot. S1 remains my favorite.
Pretty much what I got from all that as well, which was an insightful explanation as to why s2 was such a train wreck
Aside from that the vid gave me a good laugh, as that's the same voice I think of in my head as I read all the whiny nitpicky comments....which is the other sizable chunk of the vid.
I just really enjoyed the sound effects for headshots :D

Big let down.
Seriously stop watching (and posting). This season's been pretty good relative to the others and this was one of its better episodes. Every week I come on here to see idiots posting about how horrible X episode was.
So because I thought this filler of an episode was bad, with many flaws in it's imagery and vocal storytelling - I should piss off and stop watching? How about no.
I agree that this season has been "pretty good" (in Walking Dead Series standard) but that's also about it. Think about it. What has happened in this season? About as much as all the other seasons, people are just more hardened and think more apocalyptic. Which in itself creates a much more enjoyable zombie flick. But since the "bad" actors and characters have either been eliminated or left without any goodbyes(still, what the fuck was up with Carol just driving away to... where exactly?) the show will never be horrendous like the farm season. I hope.
I still enjoy this show because it has zombies, a couple of good characters, and is the only thing of interest on tpb atm. Oh and it is based on an absolutely brilliant comic.
I thank you for calling me an idiot.
But this last episode was really bad.
You seem to be the only one who thinks this.
I found the episode to be one of the most boring and overall bad.
Anyway on an entirely separate note: Is there any explanation as to why a bite/scratch from a zombie can kill a person? When they already have the virus/organism it's not like it's introducing it to them. I guess maybe you could say it doesn't activate until death or contact with other active ones, but that doesn't really make sense otherwise a virus would theoretically never be able to go dormant in the first place if it keeps waking it's neighbors up.

Same principle as to how a Komodo Dragon kills it's prey. It bites them and wounds them then lets them go, it literally has the flesh eating bacteria in it's mouth and within an hour it's prey is dead and it just follows the blood scent to track it down for an easy feast.
Da muthafuckin Hersh! Just when you think you can't like him anymore :D....too bad I have a strange feeling he won't evade death again this season T_T
Best episode of the season so far and one of the better ones in the series, though not without flaw. I have to wonder why Rick and Carl didn't just unload on the zombies with the assault rifles at the fence rather than let them breach the prison yard. I know they're trying to conserve ammo, but when the zombies are at critical mass like that ...desperate times call for desperate measures.
Also, finally the goddamn governor is back! Hopefully the next ep is Michone-heavy as we follow her hunt for his ass.
god i hate this new forum layout, why have tournaments at the top and not just all the general discussions??!!! Pretty decent episode, i knew glen wasnt gonna die because they really cant lose anymore good characters for a bit. Govener ending was sorta meh, dont really care about him anymore.
Looks like someone's going to get govenated . Had to know he was the one luring the zombies to the fence, was just waiting to see when they'd finally reveal. He seemed awfully alone, wonder where his two buddies are at.

welp, here we go again with this
For one, a Komodo Dragon bite does not kill within an hour. If the prey escapes without a mortal wound, it might be several days before it'd succumb to the bite, at which point the Komodo Dragon uses its powerful sense of smell to track the corpse later. Secondly, the Komodo Dragon doesn't even kill with Bacteria. It's a myth that's been VERY recently debunked. They actually have venom glands that release venom when they bite.
Of course, that is all fairly irrelevant and doesn't change the fact that a zombie's mouth would most certainly harbor the bacteria necessary to kill someone. But the resulting infection would take several days, upwards to a week to before it'd kill you. The deaths from bites in the show range from a few hours to at most, two days. It's probable that the show is inaccurate in portraying a bacterial infection, but then you'd have to contend with the most important piece of evidence only four episodes ago (that re-re-reconfirmed the falsehood of this explanation) where someone succumbs to a bite from a zombie that had been alive less than an hour before it turned. Bacteria in the average human mouth is not that deadly.
Something else, presumably unexplained, causes the bite to be fatal.

This is probably a little too optimistic given the circumstances, but what would a survival group do if they survived for 30 years? Kids would be a nice benefit down the road. Raised from birth to kill zombies.

Because spray and pray will land mostly body shots, which won't kill the zombies compared to aiming for the head with burst fire rounds like they did. They would be fucked if they did nothing but empty mags on them Rambo style.

I did just watch this though, and if you're a Walking Dead hater I highly recommend you watch it. Really explains why I sometimes hate this show so much.
Did anyone else watch this video and then laugh when one of the zombies breaking through the fence got hit in the shoulder? As far as I can remember, that was the first non-headshot of the series : )
