I love how it was a "slaughter" when roughly 0% of their people got killed in the retreat, too. Though it's not like I expected them to be able to hold their ground. Maybe I just didn't see them go down, but regardless, terrible finale. Wtf AMC.

Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

To be honest, this was more interesting than the finale itself. This happened during their segment where fans can ask questions either in person, e-mail/twitter/facebook, or in person. It's too bad he got cut off. Would've been great to hear him end it and then what reaction everyone will have... Hooray for Talking Dead!

In the first season, every episode was like a movie. Each camera shot was artistic. Every zombie encounter was tense and scary. And people acted realistically. Now everyone mows zombies down like grass with no fear and many scenes and personal interactions feel like throw aways. Also, I wanted to watch a show about people surviving in a world filled with zombies. Now, zombies are irrelevant. It's all about the fight between Rick and the Governor. Don't get me wrong, human interaction should play a big part of the series. But right now zombies are less dangerous than a thunderstorm would be to people roaming about in the world. Zombies clock in at about a brisk rain.

They always do that on Talking Dead. They got actors/comedians, etc. who are fans of the show sit with cast members. They often give out a nice perspective.

And in the end I think it just comes down to the fact that they fired the producer Frank Darabont after the first season due to some kind of conflict. I'm really curious now to see the new show he's producing, Los Angels, just to see if it really was the difference.

Also, the two lackeys with the governor are dumb as hell. Once he started shooting, they should have shot him because they saw how crazy he was. Shoot the governor and they can take over woodbury and live happily ever after. Rick's group wouldn't give them any trouble with the governor dead and they would have no reason to go after rick's group. Instead they hop into the car with this psycho knowing that any minute he could turn on them. Talk about dumb lackeys without a brain.

Though I will agree on some points. Like wtf, andrea couldn't take on a single walker once she got herself free, when she dealt with more walkers like nothing before. I mean, glen killed a single walker when he was still tied to a chair at woodbury. Also, the two lackeys with the governor are dumb as hell. But it wasn't. The battle is non existent, we got a few zombie kill (who care for zombies anyway anymore in this show ?) and a couple tower exploded. Then... they retreat... then the governor does the job and kill everyone on his side. Great... Then the boring struggle with the pliers from Andrea... to end up dying anyway. Sad. I would have accepted a non epic finale... if ony the prevuious episodes were up to par. Well at least episodes 1 through 8 were cool, did they change writers in between ?

On April 01 2013 12:27 javy_ wrote: It's mind-blowing just how stupid you people are... ...Overall, this was one of the better season finales I've seen yeah, do yourself a favor and watch some more TV. unless you're talking about keeping the comparisons within the scope of TWD seasons, but really, if you think this stuff is acceptable, go watch some other AMC shows or HBO.
