I doubt that's the reaction the writers were going for, and for that I'm disappointed that the season was written in such a way that the most "dramatic" moment of the finale was a joke. I did the same. And I yelled, "Keep Daryl alive!" And then I looked at the time and realized that the season was ending in the least impressive way. For as bad as season 2 was, it had a better finale than this.

So much garbage writing it was so painful to watch. Andrea sitting there talking for 10 minutes and randomly pausing to stare at Milton and talk to herself. Who the fuck would honestly sit there and talk to themselves randomly in that situation. Even fucking Milton had to say "hey you better hurry yo". I'm honestly glad Andrea is dead she genuinely seemed to have downs syndrome. Shooting at Daryl and now this. Good Riddance she was like the adult Carl. Doing stupid shit as much as possible to move the story forward. Glenn and Maggie being able to pop off head shots on walkers all day long on the run from the hip with their eyes closed to unable to hit a literal line up of people. Magic prediction powers knowing exactly what the Governors force would do with precise timing so they could trip the one booby trap downstairs and then blindly run out side. From crack spec ops team infiltrating the prison with suppression fire to blindly running around. Such a shame a show with so much potential is being wasted.

Not sure what your point is with this; I'm guessing to vent, since I didn't say anything about Andrea or Andrea's final scene in particular. The final scene with Andrea + the rest of the group was handled well. Also, what's your point about the transitions between the scenes? The flow of the transitions between the scenes you are referring to were fine. You should be more specific, not sure what you're complaining about. - in typical TWD fashion, carl gets a new subplot in which nothing important or weighty occurs to make me interested and it's cut off halfway through an episode. cool, still not tuning in because the writers can't be asked to define a problem in a way that makes it have any stakes. is carl turning into the governor? is rick going to spank him? who knows, who cares. Carl's character development this episode was handled pretty brilliantly but it's too bad you didn't find it "interesting". The point that Yvette Brown brought up on TTD (i.e., Carl is starting to mirror the Governor) makes sense. Carl is growing up in an environment where he not only has to watch out for the walkers but also other people. To him, the best way to not only resolve any issue but to prevent new ones from arising due to unfamiliar people is to simply kill them. How his new, morally-ambiguous pragmatism pans out in the next season, as well as his relationship with his father, is definitely something to look forward to. nothing about this episode is defensible. it was the honestly predictable nothing derived from subplots that amount to nothing; the only bright spot was the potential death of the governor and of andrea and neither occurred satisfactorily. Don't agree with this. Strong character development with Carl and a significant change in his dynamic with Rick, closure between Michonne and Rick, Tyreese finally joins Rick, Woodbury group joins (this could either be bad or good, depends on how the writers take it), Rick no longer has Lori hallucinations, etc. People are upset that the writers didn't take the shitty, predicable path of a Normandy-esque entrenched battle between the Governor and Rick. I was actually expecting this to happen based on AMC's misleading previews but am fine that it didn't. But, again, the finale wasn't perfect and I had a few issues as I mentioned in a previous post. yeah, do yourself a favor and watch some more TV. unless you're talking about keeping the comparisons within the scope of TWD seasons, but really, if you think this stuff is acceptable, go watch some other AMC shows or HBO. Good thing you cut-off what I was replying to, wouldn't want to mislead anyone... People who don't understand this isn't an action zombie show shouldn't watch it. Simple as that. I've watched a lot of different shows (including other stuff on AMC and HBO) and no, my statement wasn't in reference to the other TWD seasons but rather in general compared to other shows. It's perfectly fine if you don't like it, I won't waste my time convincing you otherwise, since I assume you're not going to continue watching. It's too bad it didn't work out for you ![]()

shitty and predictable aren't mutually exclusive, but neither are shitty and unpredictable. the governor defeating himself through his own insanity wasn't interesting but rather a vortex of interest because of the catharsis we're denied - that rick should triumph through his own agency - and because in the final moments of the governor's reign when he's shooting everyone, I felt nothing. nothing for the people I didn't know, and nothing for the governor because nothing new was divulged; the governor is crazy, you say? I also didn't predict andrea going out from a zombie bite, but that certainly doesn't excuse away the shittiness of watching her try to justify her stupidity pre-and-post bite. you seem to have a faith in these characters - and by proxy the writers - that I just cannot muster. looking back on this season, it reads like a laundry list of supposed quandaries that never really amounted to anything. is rick the governor? no. is rick crazy? no, essentially because the plot required he wasn't. is the governor justified in being a fascist? no, he decapitates people and bites fingers off. season 1 got away with its existential listlessness because of the development of the show and season 2 had reasonable conflicts with rick vs. herschel and rick vs. randall due to the grey areas of being able to trust people. season 3's inescapable tinge of black and white, good vs. evil, taints the entire proceedings and drags it down to solid C grade television. it just reads like a summary of things that happened with no reasoning or depth whatsoever, and I feel I deserve better for my time invested in watching a show.

so much hype for the finale but such a let down :/ the andrea and milton scene was like half the episode lol I thought the governor was going to die by his own crew like how Boardwalk Empire ended.
