Hope next season is better, but I was kinda hoping that they would move from the prison, instead they seem even more entrenched, with even more dead weight joining the group.

I think it's fucking awesome though that Andrea didn't get away... just because I knew that most people thought she most likely would.

Can't believe they turned one of the most badass sniper comic book character (Andrea) who is still alive in the comics (108 issues) into this whiny little bitch that dies at the teeth of the biggest loser in town. Also one of the worst endings of a series I've ever seen- there's literally nothing you can care about and look forward to happen in the next season. Woodbury is empty, the Governor is still alive after slaughtering his "army" and left only with Martinez and the other douche guy, Rick's group is still at the prison and is even inviting more people in, and nothing else happened. GJ walking dead writers. MOD EDIT: Spoilered the spoilers.

This so much. Worst finale ever. Like wow it sucked. Only part I liked was the governor's monologue into the camera and the "kill or die.. or die and kill." What utter trash though, how do they fuck that up so bad? Ya know what, I'm just going to assume that this episode was actually series finale and they all live happily ever after, then I guess the ending would be at least somewhat redeemable. Kind of like Lost, yeah the series finale sucked balls but hey it had to end somehow. So yeah, TWD is over can't say I'm too sad about it - I give the show 6.5/10.

I'm quite confused why the gov still got his two henchmen, too. I mean, he randomly massacred his own people, one by one, and they just stood there and watched.. and then joined him again. Surely some of those people were friends or even family? Surely they're not going to shrug it off and keep doing what he tells them to? If they were some scared kids, I could understand it. But they're soldiers, they got bad-ass weapons, and they know how to use them. And they know their leader is a crazy psychopath. If the gov will still have his two henchmen next season, I'll be quite disappointed. Also, Milton. ![]() And to all those that say how much this season finale sucked, and how much this entire season sucked, and how much last season sucked, too.. maybe this show just isn't for you? Ever considered to just stop watching it? If I would hate a show this much, I sure as hell wouldn't waste my time watching it. Try it! I stopped watching Homeland and Heroes for this reason, and I've yet to regret it.

The gov attacked with his group, got forced back, and now he's still alive and out there. Huh. I'm quite confused why the gov still got his two henchmen, too. I stopped watching Homeland and Heroes for this reason, and I've yet to regret it. way ahead of you, quit watching in season 2, but this is the same logical flaw as "if you hate this game why do you keep bitching about it and not just stop playing it?" Because, I read as many of the comics I could get my hands on before the first episode ever aired, I then was hyped as fuck to watch the first ~3 episodes which followed the comic pretty much for the most part.(Diff survivors, but w/e I can deal.) I then had to sit through 10 more episodes before i realized they'll only keep the "over arching" location and then turn it into a soap opera. So much potiental, so much hype, for people talking...and talking....AND TALKING, with the same cliche moral shit and the same bull shit you'd expect from prime time TV. So much for bringing something new to the zombie game. They are suppose to be focusing on the reactions between survivors and ALSO have zombies. As it is now, it's "as the world turns" except with a few zombies peppered in here and there. People kept telling me I didn't know what i was talking about and how the 3rd season is gonna be so good, blah blah blah. Well according to this thread and many out there, it is not a good season or a good show. They're basically just doing what ever they want and have no epic...anything. I watched the season 2 finale and started laughing at how they ended the farm arc. It was seriously bad bad bad bad. Sounds like from this thread I can just go ahead and skip waiting for season 3 on netflix.

Also that kid was running point right before they got ambushed. He was a willing enough combatant when they had a legion. I also wondered why, even in the face of him expending all his ammo Martinez wouldn't kill the governor? i mean followers follow but his analogous counterpart Daryl would totally of put Rick down. Plus where the hell did they go? Andrea finally managed to kill herself. awesome! I too liked Milton - decent chap made better by his eating habits. The adding of a bunch of fodder should give plenty to the bloodthirsty crowd next season. All in all the finale definitely left me wanting but i don't believe it was so bad as people make out here. I will tune in again.

That said, Andrea should have tried to pick up the pliers while talking to Milton, instead of wasting so much time. Also, I'm not sure why Martinez and that black guy didn't kill the governor after they saw what he did. If this was one of the best season finales you have seen then I feel sorry for you. This was one of the most anticlimactic finales I have ever seen. The plot moved NOWHERE. The Governor showed his insanity/bloodthirst, and Carl had a hissyfit. Just ask yourself, if the Governor had shot Andrea in the head like what he did to Merl, what would be the content of this episode? Oh and I guess if you were really immersed in the character that was Andrea, then this episode may have had a semblance of meaning, but I can't imagine very many gave a solid shit about one of the weakest written characters in a Television show ever. I actually grinned at the end of the episode, amazed at how bad it was.

I mean, he was told to drop the gun, reasonably sure a cop in today's world would shoot you if you were all "take it *angles shotgun towards officer." I was just about to post this, lol. When Hershel is telling Rick about how he didn't have to shoot him I found myself laughing. That kid looked like he was trying to pull a fast one from what I can see onscreen. Sheriff Carl takes no chances!

How on earth is that a logical flaw? You're free to hate the show as much as you want (and I sure see lots of good reasons for that), but if you hate the show and keep watching it, then that's your own damn fault. With a game it's different, because you (presumably) paid good money for it. So you have a right to bitch and moan, because the product was not as promised. With a TV show? Nope. You pay nothing, and you're free to watch it or not. This is doubly true for adaptions of any kind. Complaining that an adaption is worse than the original is one of the silliest things you can do. Adaptions are worse 99,9% of the time. If you don't like that, stop watching adaptions of any kind, because that will never change.

And while there was no big battle or exciting action sequence like season 1 and 2, the ending was still interesting in its own way. Rick is set up to be a leader, making up for his insanity and mistakes and trying to prove that there is still humanity left. Carl's arc will take an interesting turn, as will Michonne's. And while we don't want to sit around and watch people in the prison, the position they are in now is potentially more dangerous. Now, the Governor is an even more malevolent force that isn't going to be in one place to assassinate (which they should have done in the first place. Instead of having one baby and an old dude, now they have several. When it comes to an actual assault on the prison (a la the comics prison ending), the stakes will be higher and losses will be greater (emotionally as well, because if he loses a lot Rick will spiral back down for failing as a protector). It wasn't my favorite episode of the season, and I was kind of let down by the ending, but I still walked away rather happy and fulfilled.
