Killing the army guys didn't make any sense to me. He could've taken them back. The soldiers would probably stay in the haven or whatever it was called. Governor would get more guards and their weapons too. That was something really wierd. Maybe my question is answered in later episodes And yea I think she just doesn't trust anyone anymore, so she's paranoid. I believe it's called Woodbury...

Her acting feels forced and personally I think she has little reason not to trust her captors. I know that she has some reasoning behind her distrust, but honestly I think the allegations she is making wouldn't be made by a regular person. Yeah. Chopper mysteriously crash lands and they are there with a welcome party armed to the teeth isn't suspicious at all. A story about trained soldiers being killed by walkers when they have vehicles, weapons, and supplies to last forever also isn't suspicious. And least suspicious of all are the bullet holes peppered into the vehicles. Why would they be shooting towards their camp if they were overrun by walkers? Wouldn't they be inside the vehicles trying to escape while shooting out?
I would like to add to this list the still liquid blood she found in the Jeep. As well as the fact that the chopper pilot was reported to have died even though he seemed to not be in a critical state the last time they saw him.

To be honest the excuses made by the governor were pretty weak. They were not completely 100% BS but they were not all that convincing either.

On top of that as noted above by others you can't just take in large groups of people. They could take over or even worse kill everyone and take the base and supplies for themselves. It's a reality I suspect Michonne is aware of as well. So yeah, there is quite a lot that doesn't add up. To be honest I find Andrea's behaviour possibly more surprising. She is way to naive. For example by sharing the possible whereabouts of rick's group with Merle. Do I need to remind anyone about how completely insane and racist this guy was? Yet he just says to Andrea he is a changed man and she instantly believes him.

And even disregarding all of the above, sometimes you just get a bad feeling about people. Like, just by talking to someone you sometimes get this feeling that something is off about someone. I am not a trained psychologist but I'm sure there are perfectly good explanations for this phenomena. Like someone's composure, or certain looks or the way they make eye contact. The governor has done a lot of messed up stuff and that must have made him develop a couple of weird habits or manners.

But especially when you combine all of the above I don't think it is that strange that Michonne is at least a little bit suspicious / not quite as gullible as Andrea.

I agree with what you have said, but you would think the soldiers would have been grateful to Governor for saving the pilot and helped protect the place? I mean they looked very thrilled when they found out he was alive. But then again it was a lot of trained ''killers'' so I guess that would be a risk.

Obviously it's a TV show. I'm not saying treat them like real people. I'm not saying cry when they die. I'm not saying don't enjoy yourself on set while filming emotionally wrenching stuff. I'm saying that the way Lori's death has been celebrated here in this thread is messed up. Even just saying things like "so glad that fucking bitch is finally dead, I was laughing while she got cut up" is ugly and indicates emotional immaturity.

I was glad she died, though I didn't laugh or anything it did put a smile on my face. Why? Because I HATED her CHARACTER. The realization that I will not have to see her character in the show again made me smile and made me thankful she got cut up. People are celebrating and saying these things not from emotional immaturity but more from an overwhelming sense of relief. Her character annoyed the living fuck out of them, now that character is gone... Of course people are going to celebrate!

it's a fun show with a little drama. a character that everyone HATED died. people know its a show, so of course they are going to celebrate. this isnt like real life when your bully or something dies and you go around gloating about it. it's a completely fictional character that everyone knows is fake, so nobody should have to feel bad about anything. of course it's celebrated. it's like watching the team you hate lose in the superbowl (here's looking at you, patriots)

I think the jist of his story was that by the time he and his men got there, the 'biters' (walkers) had already killed the soldiers. So the bullet holes and such were from them trying to defend themselves.

"so glad that fucking bitch is finally dead, I was laughing while she got cut up".
This notion is ugly in and of itself. Expressing it is ugly and degrading, whether you're referring to a real person or not. Vindictive, hateful emotions have the same effect on you either way.

Again, I'm not saying don't be happy she's not on the show anymore. She was an annoying character. I'm saying consider why you would phrase your happiness in such a disgusting way.

I agree with this completely, you can be happy about the character dying, but at least try to phrase it so that it doesn't sound like you enjoy watching people getting cut up, real or not.

How about I know its hard to believe, but there are actually smarter people out there that will react differently with something that is real vs fake/tv show?? All these people expecting others to react with decency with a tv show... give me a break! I know I laughed hard when she died and cut up. If this was real, I won't be laughing.
KEY POINT: IT IS NOT REAL. IT IS A TV SHOW.

Get off the high horse people. There are many of us like me that can judge what is real vs fake and can adjust our attitudes/reactions accordingly. To say oh he is laughing at this cruel death is wrong or there must be something wrong with him... actually there is something wrong with your ability to tolerate other people that don't react to a tv show like you! Some of us know its entertainment and laugh it off. If I see that scene again, I will cheer for her death again. Trying to equate real human values onto a fake tv show is just so illogical and condescending to others.

Get off your own high horse, my good sir. I get that it's just a show. That is not the point. You didn't address my actual point.

Holy shit, that was an amazing episode. Was crying a river towards the end. Absolutely amazing acting.
Don't really get all the hate against Lori, and it'll be interesting to see where her death takes the other characters emotionally. The Governor arc is already better than the one in the comics for me. I'm really loving the Governor's actor.

Can't wait for the next episode.

I don't need to address only your point Hashbaz, its an opinion for the people of this thread that gets all sensitive over some of us laughing at her death on a tv show. I did address your point. You say us laughing over her cut up is ugly and degrading. I just told you no, its a tv show, get over it. Just because I don't agree with you, don't mean I don't address your point or don't see your point. Anyone would see that I have addressed your point. Are you blind or blind of logic??

My point is that ugly and degrading emotions are ugly and degrading in and of themselves, whether they are about real people or TV people. Your counter-argument is that it is just TV.

And you were just banned for that.
I think there is a moral in there somewhere.
Anyhow. A good TV show (or book or film or play or whatever) makes you genuinely care about the characters. Creating emotions from a fictional story is one of the most important (and hardest) things to do, so someone reacting emotionally over a TV show death is not a sign of stupidity, but of writing done right (at least for that particular person).

Personally, I wasn't too impressed with last week's deaths. T-Dogg was in serious danger the moment (and I wish I didn't need to say this) the other black dude started speaking, and Lori.. perhaps I'm not much of a kids person, but I couldn't really get behind the idea that she'd rather die and have her baby possibly(!) live than the other way around. I know that it's a painful, traumatic process and all, but that's still preferable over dying, right?

I also give the stupid idiot of the month award to what's-her-name for cutting up Lori and -then- killing her instead of the other way around. Or did they kind of hope she'd survive having her belly cut open like that?

I thought the decision with Lori was to either Caesarian section her baby out and 1 lives, or skip the surgery and they both die.

It's like she doesn't realize what the world has come to and what people have to do to get by. In some way it's like the Governor is protecting the community not only by ruthlessly acquiring the food and supplies necessary to live in such a world, but maintaining their humanity by sacrificing his and lying like the world is still an honest place with good intentions. Michonne looks into the situation like the Governor is going to put a bullet in her when she's not looking -- but she's already been "accepted" into the fold. It's slightly aggravating.
