Military training (outside of special operations) trains soldiers to aim for center of mass, so "shoot them in the head" isn't something that they'd figure out for some time. I'd imagine the first few weeks were "Open fire! Shit that didn't work, run! Oh jeez we're surrounded blarglhawoiaf BRAINS" How do zombies take down a tank or even a military camp? The person in the tank might have been bitten before entering or something. Might explain why there are some tanks left with dead guys inside them, while the rest of the tanks drove off perhaps (which is why we don't see them)

I like to think that TWD is a great portrayal of a very limited point of view; I find it very hard to believe in the comics or the television show that the world lay completely in ruins. It's very possible there are military safe havens or things like that but there's no communication globally. Kind of similar to the movie Crimson Tide(first thing I thought of.) Two submarine officers are conflicted over whether or not they should launch nuclear missiles at their target despite incomplete orders; they have no way of communication. Chaos ensues.

Yeah, There is no way Zombies could take down the military. I think people really underestimate the power of Armored Vehicles, Firearms, and strategic positions. Someone said the Military would have been confused about where to shoot the Zombies, but it's not like the Military doesn't communicate. They would of figured it out fairly quickly.

If a Zombie apocalypse were to hit our world, I personally think it would only hit civilians. The military would be fine.

I like how every so many pages you get new people saying the same thing about a ZA not being able to take down the military and have others cite wwz lol. Broken record np.

Maybe you spend too much time in this thread.

They don't, the tanker inside dies to something else. At some point they have to leave the tank for a list of reasons, and they die to something -- doesn't even have to be a walker bite. Considering how much american tanks love to chug gas, if in the chaos their supplies are cut off they'd probably have to abandon the tanks entirely anyways.

It probably went through Lori's head. The bloated zombie ate her corpse.

 Edit
BUT, it is possible that Rick's mental state is so fucked up that he somehow convinced himself that zombie Lori wasn't actually Lori.

THE PHONEUUUUUUU I'm glad they didn't leave that out. I think maybe
 ZOMG COMIC STUFF
 + Show Spoiler +
The whole Rick going apeshit on zombies was a substitute for Tyreese's night of madness in the gym
I liked this episode all things considered. I'm glad they didn't have Michonne chained to Andrea anymore, I really hope Andrea dies the most horrific death depicted on the show in a future episode.

To be honest, it seems that the bloated zombie in Lori's death room is a red herring. Like, how could one zombie completely consume one whole person including clothes. Considering Carol was trying to be medically responsible when they thought Hershel was going to die (was practicing c-sections on zombies), I can imagine the show going down the route of:
Carl didn't actually shoot his mother Lori (hence the bullet on the floor), Carol, who is presumed dead, actually saved Lori, and Carol and Lori are actually both still alive.

Wait, was the zombie supposed to have eaten Lori? Entirely? How?
No offense to the zombie's stomach, but I don't think he could fit an entire person in there. I'm still waiting for Rick to find his wife's mostly eaten corpse or else to find her shambling around the halls of the prison, in which case he'll get rather pissed at Carl and Maggie.

I don't think Carl shot Lori either. They didn't show us the scene plus Maggie didn't either, only heard it.
And they haven't shown either how Carol died, IF she died.

I think it is awesome that T-Dawg had more character development in the ten minutes before his death until now than he did the entire series to that point. Quite an elaborate troll the writers pulled. So funny :-)

During the credits where they start showing the preview for next week's episode, did anyone catch what Daryl was saying about the knife?
Kind of feel the series has really been picking it up thus far this season. Like the pacing much more than S2 that's for sure.
