Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

lol I agree. People with double digit IQ's take the show seriously to the extent where they treat the characters as if they are real people.

It's called immersion. Good story and characters can make you care about the character and feel emotion when something happens to them. It's not just something idiots do.

...No. Her writing is poor, she is a fantastic example of how not to write a character for a show that is supposed to be entertaining. Joffrey, as mentioned above is a fantastic example of how to actually write a 'hated' character.
Joffrey does absolutely evil shit, often towards 'loved' characters in the respective show, and many audience members think his character is absolutely awesome. You 'hate' the character for what he does/how he behaves, but absolutely enjoy his influence on the story. Lori on the other hand is/was purely a waste of time and most people i know cringe whenever she got screentime due to her character and her influence on the story being absolutely awful.

while true, Its hard for me to imagine the first two seasons without the character, i mean she was the reason for the rick vs shane tension, her tensions with rick over raising their son. While she could have been written/acted better, i think she was still a needed character to help the plot and tension progress.

I'm not going to lie, I'm not feeling good about the Michonne character. Her acting feels forced and personally I think she has little reason not to trust her captors. I know that she has some reasoning behind her distrust, but honestly I think the allegations she is making wouldn't be made by a regular person.

Yea i agree. I think the acting is ok.. but other then future reasons unknown to the viewers, theres no reason to be anything other then really happy that they were welcomed into such a safe haven in such a dangerous world.

I was hating her having screentime, sorry for the confusion, cause I really did tell that the wrong way lol. I have a love/hating relationship with Joffrey. And Shane I was afraid of, the way he wanted to shot Rick with a shotgun the first season, he felt unpredictable and really unstable. I loved his screentime.

The way i feel she's been through some rough things, plus those two beheaded undead dudes must meant something to her. Maybe she learned not to trust anyone...u know "if something seems too good to be true it probably isn't". Anyway there's something about the governor...i don't like or trust that dude(u know killing all those army guys for there weapons then covering up the truth).Plus u can't deny the fact that slicing and dicing up dead bodies with a katana is pretty badass if u ask me.

A story about trained soldiers being killed by walkers when they have vehicles, weapons, and supplies to last forever also isn't suspicious.
And least suspicious of all are the bullet holes peppered into the vehicles. Why would they be shooting towards their camp if they were overrun by walkers? Wouldn't they be inside the vehicles trying to escape while shooting out?
I know regular people are generally stupid, but to not be suspicious about any of those situations would probably make you borderline retarded. They are giving Andrea plot-induced stupidity because she needs to play the role of Lilly Caul for whatever reason. Michonne on the other hand, is Michonne, and has no reason to be stricken dumb by plot stupidity.

The Governor gave logical explanations for all of what you listed, and on top of that, the governor sounds like he is a nice dude (Even though he clearly isn't).
And wtf? How is them going to a crash site with weapons suspicious? Of course you are going to be armed in a zombie apocolypse. Also, why wouldn't you go and investigate a helicopter crash, to see if you can find survivors.

Governor is just Rick with a lot more people depending on him and less will to risk it. You seen how Rick was absolutely against taking in two prisoners that are without weapons and hope.
Now compare that to taking in a group of trained killers that just might decide to take over. By the looks of it, those soldiers were about equal in number to Governor's armed people. If they did decide to take over their will and training would give them an advantage. Surprise was Governors only chance to take care of them with low or zero casulties.
Another option was to ignore them but then there was a chance they would find them and who knows what would have happened. With their weapons and vehicles they could have easily conquered them.
Governor can take in people, but for safety reasons he cannot take bigger groups, especially if they are trained and armed. Do you really think if he invited them in they would just give up their weapons and vehicles?! I wouldn't if I was them.
