Too early to decide.
IG.V is actually the only one who lost so far and they're against one of the favorites. The two chinese who played before them won their series not sure if that's sucking
so the record is 2-1 in terms of series that's winning though the question if they maintain the pace throughout the tournament is another matter

all you could hear from him is that he hypes the western team even when the non-western team is ahead or winning .. it's kinda annoying What's he supposed to say this game? VP is dominating except for five minutes during which I didn't get the feeling he was very biased.
Purge is pretty much the most biased caster out there today. His bias has only been exceeded by Tobi's love for NaVi back in the day. For instance, in this series, after a Rosh fight, VP kill 1 hero, dont get Rosh kill, but get Aegis. Purge calls that a "convincing win" for VP. In the previous series, after a Rosh fight, VG.J kill 2 heroes, kill rosh, get Aegis. Purge calls that a "slight win" for VG.J.
I remember during a tournament maybe half a year ago where a Chinese team had 1 rax adv and a 30k+ gold lead against some Western team but Purge's analysis of that situation was that it was still a close game.
At TI6 Finals, Purge spend an entire post-game "weatherman" segment ass kissing Saska of DC even though DC just got spanked by Wings.
He always gushes heavily over Western players and teams when they win (or even lose) but doesn't ever give the same kind of credit when an Eastern team wins. VP actually didn't play THAT particularly well during game 2. It had more to do with how bad IG.V played but Purge would have you believe that VP was flawless.

had low expectation of them but ig.v still managed to disappoint, oh well VP played well and should easily reach top 4

What actually works against TA now a days if you just consider the mid heroes? Only thing seems to be massive ganks on her or enough control in later fights that the snowball stops.

I can't speak to the other games but his casting in game 2 definitely didn't give me the impression that VP were flawless. I'll keep your and Goody153's comments in mind for the next time I hear his casting, though. Haven't really reflected on it previously.
Something that happens very often though is that casters (pretty much all of them) talk about the team in the lead as if they're the best ever until they lose a fight. Then it's the other team's turn to get all the praise until they lose a fight.

IMO the problem with Purge is not bias. Every caster is biased to some extent, and when it's East vs West it's quite understandable.
Purge's problem is that his bias clouds his judgement of the game state. For example, when a caster's favorite team is losing, most of them would say something like "now that they're behind, they need to do this and that to catch up". With Purge, it's often "they're still doing great, getting this one kill while the enemy's 3 kills actually don't amount to much".
Or maybe he just can't read the game at all.

but silencer's later game isnt nearly as reliably impactful as TAs so i feel like if youre going to do that counter you have to have at least 1 other winning lane and also snowball potential
